Well everyone, it's that time of year again. The clocks have gone back, the nights are drawing in and the weather has turned cooler...
It's fair to say that usually I'm heading back to the UK around now. But this year (apart from a couple of weeks over Christmas) I've decided to stay on here in Kalymnos. Not least because I have work to do and there are too many uneccessary interruptions back home - what with the various shift patterns to fit around, constantly missing car keys…

My latest children's book "I Used to be Mean" is being shipped to me for final editing and should be available on Amazon by Thanksgiving. Or is it simply to see your works so well promoted in a cost efficient manner that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy your work? For me personally its become more of a promotional thing. All my books are currently sold through my website at basically the cost of printing, shipping to me, and…

November is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo to everybody involved or aware of it. This is an international competition, which has no prizes and no entry fees. Participants are simply expected to write a novel with a word total of 50,000 during the month. It is a wonderfully simple way of motivating yourself to finally write that story that has been festering in your head for all these months or years.
I have entered this competition. Having published my debut…

I am writing a Medieval novel and I need some assistance. Basically things to be careful for in this genre. It follows a young King, forced to take his deceased fathers place. War is upon them. I have done a good amount of research on my own but it couldn't hurt to have a helpful hand.
