AFTER MIDNIGHT CHAPTER 12
I was doing the dishes when Spencer, the waitress called me. “…some one wants to see you.”
“If it’s not official, let the person come over here.” I told her and continued washing the cups. Next I heard sharp knocks of lady’s shoes. There came a lady. She was dressed in trousers, a white top and that was Stephanie! The woman who, my nightmare! I felt laziness in my mind and didn’t want to look at her. She…

standing in the middle of the crowd
looking for something that is hard to find
staring far at distance
searching for something that could never be found
its like waiting for someone whose gone
its like remembering what you forgot
hear my voice, hear my songs
here are my hands trying to catch you
to take out the pain you felt inside
give you care to make you smile
oh hear me, oh hear…

Q1: Thanks for participating in our Authors.com Spotlight Interview series Sean! Please introduce yourself and your book to help our readers get to know you.
A: I love reading Stephen King, Dean Koontz, James Herbert and many more authors from that genre. Last year I decided to fulfil a life-long ambition and write a novel. I’d been ill for a while, so needed to reduce my working hours and in my spare-time get on with tapping away at the keyboard. My debut novel -…

I sometimes envy those authors whose books are centered in New York, Chicago, or Los Angeles. They describe neighborhoods and toss out street names and locations like a poker dealer throwing out the new hands to the players. Of course, if those authors live in those cities, then the familiarity is understood. For me, though, it’s still amazing because they seem to…

Intentionally relying on intentions
Remember intention relies on chance, not you
Addictive personality has driven me here
Wait, no, pause, right, straight, there
Warped perceptions are poisonous
Not much different in our lives
Just completely different in our realities
Different isn't always bad, I say
I am not saintly…

Q1: Thanks for participating in our Authors.com Spotlight Interview series Jamie! Please introduce yourself and your book to help our readers get to know you.
A: My given name is Jamie Ian Hall. It's the perfect, "mom is mad" name. Just say it in a mom screaming from the bottom of the stairs voice and you'll understand my childhood a bit better.
My book is called 7 Deadly Women. Quite simply put, it's a whimsical tale about women, dating…

feeling so lost when your not around
being in love is the hardest part of life
but it is the sweetest and romantic
creating a whole new world
like the little prince story
living in a small world alone
having three volcanoes and a rose
he lives alone 2x
but the problem may never go
trusting each other that makes love grow
and if living in a new world
living together forevermore
like…

As a new writer I'm finding that I need to take a break from time to time and let my brain catch up to my story. Then all of a sudden in the middle of the night an idea will hit me of how to pick up where I left off and my story continues...is this normal? I also find I keep going back and re-reading and re-writing what I've already written...Have you found this approach works for you or am I making more work for myself when I'll probably need my work professionally edited anyway?
