(100 words = ekatolexon) There’s a town

There’s a town down there, sitting here I see it and a forest in there is.  Standing I see more.  Carriages parked, people motionless sitting on benches. There’s a town around a forest, green squeezed by grey. If there’s more to see they do not tell me, so I improvise, my eyes blink and wheels start moving tearing the forest with roads.  People commence walking, collect the trunks, the branches, the leaves, building more benches, raising fences, rookeries, everything clear now, normality.…

The Hermit's Confession in the Wilderness: excerpt from "Trouble in Paradox" by A.P. Eberhart, chapter 12 "Ever An Island" (Copyrighted material)

What was it that made you run off and build your hermitage, John? Why did you hide from the society of men all those years? What changed you from a prince to a pauper?

With me it happened fast. I was twenty-two years old and living the high life--or as high as my credit-limit would allow, anyway. I drove a slick new sportscar, lived in a chic, stylish apartment downtown, and wore clothes from the expensive stores in the mall. I even had a cellphone in those days. I was a regular…

Guest Post Tom Sumner author of All I Wanted Was A Haircut!

People say that things happen for a reason.  That may be true.  But in my life things seem to happen with very little rhyme or reason. And certainly no plan.

I used to be married, kind of a lot.  If I total the years I spent married it's 21 years and not all of it was marital blech.  But I'm now happily single, so it goes without saying that for all of my marriages there have been an equal number of divorces.

During one of my divorces I discovered…

Preston/Child Gideon's Sword

Sincerely, this is my first read of this dynamic duo. Go ahead and chuckle at my expense, I understand. Interesting plotline in Gideon’s Sword:  A family wronged and father framed by a government employee to cover his tracks as many people die heinous deaths for no reason other than the government employee’s stupidity and arrogance. Original and thought provoking, I mean the way they went about it, the narrative, not the over used and tired plotline, hahaha, gotcha. Really though, let’s…

Self-Published Sunday Elephant Milk Diane Sherry Case

I am going to have to guess that you hear this saying every day. I have used this phrase right here in this very same spot on a different Self-Published Sunday, “don’t judge a book by its cover. Elephant Milk by Diane Sherry Case has a pretty snappy piece of artwork on the cover, but what does it all mean, and what exactly is elephant milk? Okay, check out what is between the covers on this one:

“Sean Hayes is driving a lime green dune buggy that a friend of hers traded from Elvis…

pinch of darkness3

the demon slayers laid on the ground, fighting for last breath. falcon had poisoned them and now they fear them.

kara looked at falcon sitting in a pool of his own blood. she wanted to hold him, tell him they'll be alright, but he told her to back off and just let him be.

so there she sat, leaned against a tree, waiting for falcon to tell her to bring her ass on.

"Kara, lets go." he finally said, standing.

she stood too, looking him over.

his…

Digital short Saturday Brother 'Big Daddy" Abel OPEN MIC

“Brother” Giovanni gets on the board with this one. Confused, I am sure you are. You would have to read the disclaimer, (which I wrote-wink, wink), in the beginning of Open Mic to understand how I came Brother Giovanni; I am not giving that away. This is the first time I am in a published work; I am pumped and honored. FYI: BDA, as he is known to his many fans, will be on our blogtalk show twice this month. March 8th for the roundtable discussion @ 3pm and then again by his…

A forgotten poem of mine.

EVERLASTING DEATH

      Death comes silently
as if it shall never appear at all...
      Death enters your mind
As if lurking to destroy what makes you sane.
      Death visits your conscience…

New born first couple of chapters

Prologue

Dravid looks deep into the smoke wandering how far he has left to fly to get out. He cant help but to think that this was a mistake. He was warned that this trip could in the end kill him, but he had to do this didn’t he? He owed it to the people of Aelia. Looking about him he sees nothing except smoke. Everywhere he looks there is nothing but the all consuming smoke.

Dravid has been flying for three days in this smoke infested world to get the knowledge…

Brad Taylor One Rough Man

This is a debut novel from a man who has an impressive biography; I am enclosing it with the post. Is this novel the real deal like Brad Taylor American hero is?  I am going to be nice and say it makes it some hay in a very crowded genre; read on and decide if you want to grab this thriller. Here is what is between the covers and his bio:

“They call it the Taskforce. Their existence is as essential as it is illegal. Commissioned at the highest level of the U.S. government. Protected…

The Seas of Suzy Wong

Hello out there!  I have spent the past two years collecting my memories on paper of a sailboat trip I took in 1960 with three other guys and a dog -- from Hong Kong to Miami.  Our boat was named the Suzy Wong.  She was a 41 foot yawl (27 feet on the water line) which we had built for us in Hong Kong.  The trip covered 26,000 nautical miles and was eighteen months in duration.

That was 50 years ago!  We were all still alive when we got to Miami, and we are all still kicking now.  The…

Why not have a great NEW Website for authors to have there books published and take contol of there sales.

Why not create a site where the authors can have his or her book designed, created, printed. And have there own webpage to sell there book thru. Have a PayPal and other sales accounts so they would keep 100% profits from there book. All authors would have control of the site because the site would be their's to use. You would have a flat fee for the design and formatting. You could have a printer who would have a flat fee for the printing. The cost would be a flat fee for members who belong…

Fear Not

Fear Fails

Love Prevails

God's Love Corrects, Protects, Perfects

...and restores

Perfect love casteth out all fear

And we are perfected in Him. In him who knew no sin, but became sin, so that we may become the rightousness of God through Him.Access through His righteousness, We became the righteousness of God,and because of His righteousness we became perfected. Meaning the blood that was shed at the cross of calvay covers us and

allows God to…
