Horror Movie Lessons

horror-blog-jpg_192440 A couple weeks ago I was watching a horror movie (and may I digress for just a moment to say that horror movies don't really impress me much anymore? One has to be pretty darn good to be 'scary'.) and I thought about some of the lessons or truisms to be learned from these movies. I posted some of them on Facebook but later I wrote them down to post them on my blog. Plus, this would be a good…

Our Miracle baby

I had a baby on August 12,2013. It was a blessing just to have her in my arms and share her with my family. When I first saw her, she was so small. She is growing more every day now. Melanie is one amazing baby. she makes me smile knowing she is what God made out of me and my husband Gordon. We are so blessed to have her in our life. She is our miracle baby we never thought we would have. When I was first born, The doctors thought I would not walk, talk or even read. I was born with a…

I would like to introduce you to the fabulous Author D.C. Grace and also to Shelby and Dade from The Amethyst Dragon Series

Dawn Collier

Author DC Grace

April) DC Grace how pleased are you to have met Dade and Shelby?

DC Grace) Tryamon actually gave me the idea. I found her picture in a deck of faery tarot cards, and she wouldn't stop screaming in my head. It didn't take long to know it was a story that had to be told. :)

April) Dade Blue-Therror and Shelby Mercy what made you decide to invite Dawn to write your…

SLOGGING THROUGH BLOGS

I was late to the blogging game. The first blogs I read seemed to be a waste of time. Personal info on what other people are doing doesn't interest me. I wondered why writers spent time with this format and who the heck has time to read it?

A tool is only as good as the person wielding it. A blog every day is not only tiresome, but it drains the writers. I decided that instead of hosting my own blog, I would…

I would like to introduce you to the wonderful Author Laura Kreitzer

April) What gave you the idea for Love's Paradox?

Laura) I was crying in a Barnes & Noble. My mom and I used to go all the time. We’d scour the shelves for hours and drink chai tea lattes. Anyway, it was the first time I’d gone back since she unexpectedly passed away. People were staring at this crazy girl crying in the middle of the café. I pulled my laptop free, opened it, and began writing something funny. I had to stop crying, and I knew my mom…

I would like to introduce the fabulous Author Christine Elaine Black

April) What gives you ideas for your novels?

Christine Elaine) I like to write historical romance and my ideas come from the time periods I enjoy reading the most. It occurred to me that a romance set in Rome with a good plot and a few lively secondary characters was difficult to find. Before long Maximus took shape and after I finished his story the details for Taurus entered my head.

April) I do love history, and I’m glad Maximus got the ball…

I would like to introduce you to the wonderful Author Lori Lesko

April) What gives you ideas for your novels?

Lori) Oh, anything from dreams, reading or watching the news.

April) I do love when an idea comes from an unexpected place :D   So my next question to you is:         Do you find yourself laughing, crying or have any other emotions while writing your scenes that are linked with your characters emotions?

Lori) Of course, if I can't feel anything about my story and what the characters are going…

Have Fun

have fun picWhenever I leave work I usually depart with the words, “Have fun” to the person on the next shift. It's been a fairly standard saying for years. I never mean it as a sarcastic statement as if I expect the next shift to be droll or rockin' crazy with problems and I wish the person luck in handling it all. I really mean for them to have fun in whatever they do.

Years ago, I made some mistakes that landed me in trouble and, unfortunately, after more than fifteen years, I'm…
