What do you mean Kenny by the publishers are driving you crazy?

You're not the only one I've seen that said they didn't get a response from Outlaw if it's any consolation. If nothing else, it's ill-mannered.

Hey guys, its me again, i have a few words on the book. It turns out that it didn't get published because im a minor :/ I was a little down but i got back on my feet when we found another company that took kids under the age of 18. Since then, i wrote all new poems, they are longer, they make more sense, and they are from the heart. Okay, so i got a poetry slam up at M.C. in October and im going to try to book some more in before that. So when the book gets published, i could have a few good references. I want to do the poetry slam up in Chicago but i dont know if i am or not. (gotta talk to my parents about it) But i think if i do one in Chi town, i could meet great writers and it would be a fun experience. Same for the one in Michigan City. - Kenny.

P.S. Its great to be a poet again. :)

That's great news, Kenny! Congratulations on persevering and finding another one. Don't forget you can add an Event here too. When you have your poetry slam dates add them there and they will show up on the front page. Keep us posted on how it's all going. :)

Here is a poem from The Angel Chronicles Book II Awakenings: Rise of Seraphon

Technically I wrote the poem. However, it was written for book two and to add to the works of my main Character, Rene Thomas Colby. My main Character is also a writer at heart who finds a desire to go to Novel writing from poetry. I had a niche for poetry as a youth, but lost it when I decided to start my novel at 16. After 21 yrs I completed it and became published with Book I: Angel in the Darkness.
Without further ado here is: To you from me, By Rene Thomas Colby.

To you from me
(Dedicated to those of my family and friends and all of you. In that is God as well. I do love you and always have!
Rene Thomas Colby, Sr.
From unfortunately my friends, family and God were once not so clearly seen

I had love once
Oh yes it was bottled up
And sitting on a shelf
I was dark then
I was sad and lonely
I saw not to you from me
And this I hold in my word is to you from me
I recall our passed days and us to the past
So now I can see to you from me
There was distance then
Then I awoke to the angel I am
I began to see to you from me
And in this love through me
All I have
And, all I want and nothing else
In short distance is,
To you from me

I spy a poem

I feel you
I see you
I taste, desire you
You enhance me
delight, untangle my thoughts
as I spy a poem.

You translate, advocate
heal-feel, thrill
keep it honestly real with me.
As I spy a poem
I unfold em
write em
acknowledge em
feel em
exist in em
as I spy a poem

Here's a contraversial one, but it's very close to my heart.

      A dieing wish.

Never have I seen the sky

Never have I heard the rustling of the oak

Never have I smelled the sweetness of a rose

Never have I seen the beauty abound

That has been right before my eyes

Blind I’ve been all my life

But now as I die

I see it all so clearly

Grieve not for me

Celebrate my memory

Take in the wonder that is life

When I pass

Watch a sunset

Feel the wind on your skin

Taste the salt of the sea on your tongue

And live life

Like I would if I had another chance

Maybe it would work better if the last comment was first, so you don't have to scroll down to the bottom to see the last comment.Just a thought, I notice there's not any comments lately.Seems like the postings are upside down. But, what do I know.
