Sometimes when I enter my writing area, in a corner of my office, it seems that words will not come and the critic inside me attacks my creativity with a constant bombardment of negative thoughts. "
Enough!
Finally, I sit down, strike the letters on the keyboard and let the words energize each other as they create vivid word pictures that…

Hello Writers,
I've been scanning through groups and notice that a lot of people post poetry, comments, start discussions, etc., but when I get down to likes and comments, more often than not, there are two zeros.
Are these groups just "every man for himself" or are we here to help one another? If we don't like or comment or reply or join a discussion, or offer some advice, what's the point?
Three options come to mind. We aren't interested. We're too busy or we just…

As a book reviewer, one of the areas of the book I analyze is writing style. I try to inform the potential reader about what type of book I’ve read.
Think about the different authors you’ve read. Besides the different genres having, or sometimes requiring, different styles, consider the multitude of authors in only one genre.
Horror – H.P. Lovecraft wrote lengthy sentences with details galore.
Stephen King writes flashback scenes with a lot of detail.…

Enchanted
The right lead which proceeded towards the utmost need. The inheritance of thy mind, heart, body and soul. The absolute knowledge of the rivers of true living water. It's when the tide is high, fully manifesting it's self towards the very given moment. Being anointed is it's favorite attribute. The growth of wisdom is embedded and the full meaning of it all is " Enchanted".

Ecclesiastes 3:15 "That which is has been already; that which shall be is nothing new." This verse of Scripture explains what has taken science by storm with the discovery of quantum physics.
Science has discovered that all things, including solid objects, are made up of particles of light known as photons. These particles of light are perplexing to science due to the fact that they cannot be measured accurately.

The faith of God empowers life and is much greater than the faith of man. Our role models where just like us or even worst, I may resume. The thing is, many remember who they where for there own benefit. A few truly acknowledge the reflection of another at the very given moment of there success. Being a brother's keeper rather than no keeper at all.…

An expert academic or technical writer needs only a few basic sentence patterns to produce easy-to-understand writing. Each of the sentence patterns below will result in clear academic or technical writing. Not really.
At least, not yet.
With mega-book chains closing their doors (Borders) and online booksellers battling for eBook domination, authors are faced with the daunting task of connecting with their readers. How do we get our print books out there? How do we connect with our digital readers?…

A Tolken For Celandine By Laurell K. Hamilton
Not much of a intro here, just another short story review found in Laurell K Hamitlon’s Strange Candy short story. This one is a dungeons and dragons style piece called “A Toklen For Celandine.”
So the story is not like Hamilton’s other books. It happens in a medieval setting, featuring the traditional classic fantasy elements such as trolls , elves, unicorns and what not. They story follows a female elf warrior named Bevhinn, who…

I conduct several self defense seminars for high school students and women, as well as the various techniques shown in my regular classes. One of the things I teach those who participate in self defense courses is to have options available to immediately utilize.
For example, let me keep it simple and discuss a basic wrist grab. After determining the level of threat indicated, the person would pull his/her wrist against the opponent’s thumb, that finger being the weakest part…

I'm a traditional writer armed with a pad and good pen, but often I use my laptop to write stories in manuscript form. As a reader I prefer 'real' books rather than e-readers, but I understand the convenience of the latter. The tool I have started to use recently is a digital voice recorder, for the ideas that pop in the mind when a pad and pen are not in easy reach, ie when driving.
The one I bought was £27 a little more expensive than stationary but very convenient especially as I…
