Free Download Marketing Strategy

For a limited time only I'm offering a TOTALLY FREE DOWNLOAD of the first book in my fantasy series titled "Reeshard and The Great Parish Swamp". I'm thinking if readers really enjoy the first book they might be willing to purchase the second. Within the first 8 hours I've managed multiple downloads & my first sale on book 2. I realize its not really anything to boast about but I do see it as a positive start. If you'd like a copy feel free to stop in at:…See More

In trying to promote sales for my book series I've offered the first book in the series as a TOTALLY FREE DOWNLOAD for a limited time only. I hoped if they liked the first book they'd be willing to buy the next one. Well i got 6 more download reviews and my first sale within 8 hours of doing it this way. Now I know one sale really doesn't mean anything but I see it as a positive start to say the least. At the same time I'm blogging to everyone everywhere about it being a free download to…See More

Free Download Marketing Strategy

I'm trying out a new marketing and book promotion strategy ( at least new for me ). For a limited time I'm offering free downloads of the first book in my "Reeshard and The Great Parish Swamp" series. Hopefully enough downloads will create a positive buzz about the book. We all know recommendations through word of mouth is a great promotion technique. I'm testing this out to see if it really might create a stir of followers looking to grab the second book right after as well as get some honest…See More

Profit vs Popularity vs Promotion

Posted on November 11, 2011 at 3:42pm 0 Comments

Recently a discussion came about concerning what was most important to authors. Is it creating a highly profitable sales base? Or is it to become so well known you become a daily household name? Or is it simply to see your works so well promoted in a cost efficient manner that everyone has the opportunity to enjoy your work?  For me personally its become more of a promotional thing. All my books are currently sold through my website at basically the cost of printing, shipping to me, and…

Hi everyone. My full name is William O'Neil but I go by W.J. O'Neil more often than not. I'm a father to 5 and a grandfather to 9 (with yet another on the way!) I've been making up and telling stories to my kids for about 20 years now. About 5 yrs ago my wife (Mary) & the kids coaxed me (more like hounded) into putting one of them into print. In order to keep the kids out of a swampy area by the house I told them about what was in it. I've spent the last few years writing "Reeshard and The… Continue

I'm also a published poet. When you have a moment, please check out my Authors page along with some of my many videos and blogs... Many of my Blogs include my free to read, short sci-fi fantasy stories for everyone to enjoy.

Yeah, I totally agree with you. There could be anything living in nasty swampy areas. My swamps generally contain strange aliens from faraway  planets, and sometimes I call my brain a swampy area.

Let me know if you'd like to become friends.
