I'm no expert Andrew but I'd be very surprised if you didn't. When you say life experiences do you mean you'd be using quotes of her or what? Where do you plan to source the information from and how much of it do you want to use?

Well I don't know if you plan on using her real name and everything, in that case I have no idea, but if you were planning on doing a fictionalization of her life, changing the names and words a bit (which is not a completely uncommon thing to do) then no, you really don't. However, I assume you mean to use her real name, real experiences, and exact quotes, do you not?
You don't. You can write about anyone easily enough as long as it's not falsified or defamatory in any way.
