tell me....when you picture a vampire in your minds..what do you really come up with?
Personality, looks and everything overall what they yearn for..Besides blood of course.
I'd Like to hear the truth.
thanks! ;)

When I think about Vampires, the first thing that comes to mind is Dracula. But more to the point: their pale skin, dark eyes, a seemingly perfect set of teeth equipped with fangs, castles and dungeons, coffins, candle light... Uhm... Turning into Bats, though I'm not too sure on that one. Females wearing blood red lipstick and other makeup that makes human males easier to seduce before tearing their soul apart... Y'know, all that good stuff that the Vampires from Twilight don't have... I guess it would be easier to say anything Vampire-ish, but Twilight Vampires.
Actually, whenever I think vampire, I think of the Twilight vampires.
I think of the very old fashioned Nosferatu images from the 1922 silent movie. It's interesting how vampires have changed from such an ugly, creepy, distasteful character into this suave, debonair gentleman that just happens to enjoy the odd drink of O Negative.

I've added the Noseferatu movie to our Video section. That's what I think a vampire character should look like. But I suspect if vampires are in fact real they would look just like us.

That's why they would have managed to live for centuries undetected. :) They have been documented in so many countries over so many centuries it's difficult to completely deny the possibility in my imagination.
I'm sorry, love... but Twilight is b*******.

Not the most civil of replies you gave there, Betty. If you disagree, that's fine but there's no need to make a remark like that. Why don't you justify why you feel that instead of just cussing? A million book and movie buyers would disagree with you and it makes more interesting reading.

I agree Kay, answers should be thought out, rather than a snide comment.

Betty, you may not realize yet, because you are somewhat new to this forum, but some of the members here are young adults. Using unsavory language is not appropriate for many of the members here. Jasmine answered the question you posed with what she thinks of when she thinks about vampires, everyone has opinions even if they are not the same as yours. They should not have their opinion downplayed, because you might have a different opinion.

If you want to know about the real vampires this book will explain how vampires came to be: Vampires, Burial and Death; Folklore and Reality by Paul Barber.

I do agree with Betty though Twilight was good but the fandom just spoiled vampire books for me. I imagine vampires as serious mysterious people that go with the centuries that they pass seducing any human to get what they need such as food entertainment and what not. Endeavoring in new things to pass the time their eyes that swim with unexplainable knowledge and wisdom of the world those that have actually been there and done that.
They are master of everything that they enjoy silent killers wondrous lovers and monster that could kill you with a stare. Those are what vampires are to me, a person not from our own perspective of the world.
I think a TRUE vampire is an evil being who is extremely beautiful and uses that advantage to lure in yound women and just when they start to like him, thy end up dying. But that's just me.
I see them as a charismatic tyrant who will crush anyone who opposes him, drinking their blood, turning mortals into his thralls, and being the greatest mockery against God to walk the earth. I don't really believe in Good vampires, straying from tradition is something you need to approach in heavy armor.
