Something on my Mind

You know how you get when you haven’t had something in a while. You start thinking about it all the time. Wondering, how will I get that? When will I get that?

That thing becomes an obsession.

I want it. No, I need it.

Luckily for authors, when we want something, all we have to do is write about it. Once the words are on the page, they are as good as real to us. That desire is fulfilled. We have gotten that thing we…

Scrivener users?

Are there any Scrivener users aboard authors.com?  With the Windows release of the product, I was pleased to finally get a chance to try it out while revising short stories for my L.A. Limo Tales collection. Must say that I've barely scratched the surface of its capabilities but I'm very pleased with its ability to produce clean e-book files in all the major formats.  It looks to be an excellent writer's tool and it's…

Guest Post from B.R. Stateham - a writer you should read

A Different Kind of Hero

I write a short story series about an atypical hit man. Atypical in that he does things you least expect from a professional killer. And it is this unexpected, unanticipated quirk in the man's personality which I…

This Treat is No Trick

It is no secret that I like Horror stories. I like dark, creepy things like

those under your bed. As I have said repeatedly, Halloween is my favorite

holiday. I'd say I still get dressed up, but I don't look much different than

the rest of the year.

With that being said, I knew I wanted to

participate in Trestle

Press' Harbinger of Horror
month-long celebration. I wanted to do it… Continue

I had the opportunity to work with a talented writer and generous lover in the

form of Darren

Sant
.

Um, one of those statements is only hearsay.

Regardless of which, we birthed a new story onto the world. It happens

to be available now, today, this minute, from… Continue

the Harbinger of Horror promotion.

But did you know Trestle does not only

do the scary stuff? They are packed with authors of every genre. There are

highly talented writers waiting to share their work with you.

The Venom of Enigma.

I sat myself down on the half buried boulder and sighed at the darkening sky. The stars were slowly coming out to play and the moon seemed rather shy, peeping out from behind a lonely cloud. A cool wind blew in from the south, ruffling my shirt and making the trees whisper softly.

A highly excited laugh split the silence like a thunderclap. I jumped, startled. While my skeleton had been busy jumping out of its… Continue

Digital Short Story

Maybe I've been remiss in posting about this, but my newest short story, "A Prince in Trenton, Seriously? ", is available now on Kindle and Nook.

So I did a guest post for Gelati's Scoop to tell you a little more about it. I have a series called The Empyrical Tales. Books I … Continue

My First Kindle

Okay, I told you about this a few days ago and here it is!

Giovanni Gelati, blogmaster of Gelati's Scoop and host of the G-Zone on blog-talk-radio, created an innovative series called the Author's Lab with Trestle Press. Basically, he partners with a variety of authors to write an ongoing series of digital shorts. These e-books cover many genres mostly for adults, but I have the… Continue

Keeping Busy

I recently did an interview with Giovanni Gelati for his blogtalkradio to promote The Lost Queen. He invited me to do a short story together in order to give his readers and listeners a taste of The Empyrical Tales. The story is part of his Author's Lab Collaboration series. The G-Man has created a series of on-going stories with a variety of authors in a wide variety of genres. My installment is called "A Prince in Trenton, Seriously?" and is coming soon. I will post a link as soon as the… Continue
