The art and the spirtual magic of the imagination.

Any writers most cherished enlightenment.

Our imagination Can be a beautiful , as well as a horrid thing.

But either way.

I adore the power our minds have to offer.

to spawn images into words, visions into thoughts.

fantasies into dreams. wandering illusions into a daydream.

illusions into reality.

Its scary i know. How we can actually manage such a powerful thing.

To use it to entertain, to preach, to think, and to learn, and all else .

to function such a unbelievable thing daily like nothing

is truly worth thinking deeper about.

and as i speculate now...

I realize there are some whom cant handle it.

and those who embrace its magnificent source.

and unfortunatley those.

who deny it.

The imagination can be a friend and a enemy.

A sanctuary. or a hell.

the mind has axis to the wretched as well as the innocent.

Madness is a risk of overwhelming imagination is it not?

i soppose it is how we balance such a gift...

or perhaps...

Or as albert einstein once said,

" The Imagination is EVERYTHING....It's the preview to life's coming attractions..."

Do you agree?

I believe part of his statement. our minds spawn what we wish to see, but it also repeats in images what we know..or what we want. but never to have.

tell me your belief upon the role of the imagination.

why do you think, we all own such a beautifully disturbing thing?

And i must scaddle. See ya . ;)

Respond and i shall return

For me, i believe the mind needs the imagination to survive. it keeps us at ease.

it maintains our sanity... just enough for us to dream

As a starter, though this one needs more thought to do the subject justice - and I am tired to my very bones - imagination is the key to everything. It gives us wings, but we must learn to harness it for our own good. I think it is linked to belief and faith, like all of these topics, you can't consider them as separate, but must strive to understand the bigger picture where and how it all fits together. WIthout imagination we can't fly, and how we all want to fly, even if we have a fear of heights!

Imagination is certainly something we nurture in our children, here in Lanark. A double edged sword that we so need to master, particularly when young. Without imagination we can't dream, without dreams what's the point to our striving?

Imagination is the bridge to the spirit, the key to your heart, makes the impossible - possible and can manifest into reality from the intent. It is like an animal that needs control or brings comfort and you are the master of both.

Only my thoughts.

Attitude is the key. It always is. So with the right attitude and the full power of an unrestricted imagination anything is possible, if you are patient and determined.

I agree there. Attitude will be a powerful positive force and as you have intimated previously can also be a double edged sword.

Your imagination says a lot about you...I believe that's one of the reasons it's there. To be honest, even the darkest most unreachable corners of my mind still have a connection to something about me, and as random as everything up there seems, none of it really is when I think about how it came to be. I think imagination is an outlet for all of the things you keep inside, just like you said Betty, it's how we keep sane! Your imagination can take anything and twist it around if you want it to!

Thank you all for replying to my post! sorry that i have been gone so long! i blame school. since it is my senior year. lol Such a blessing! cant wait to say goodbye to high school!

So true ! its bizarre how it does that huh?? such brilliance!! the imagination is the pleasure the mind seems to gain after the heavy logical functioning of living.. isnt it?

Insanity will take us if we dont master it. But sometime there are those whom cant handle the intensity of their own mind. its sickening to see it eat them alive.

I believe  the imagination envelops a child as soon as they are born. what they see they dont understand till they are older, so as the ascend to that age, they see the world as they to see it dont they? until of course a parent snap them back into reality. i love your statement. it indeed gives us wings. Spiritually and mentally it seems . but enough to keep us floating with a delusional smile. ;)
