Airel Aaron Patterson/Chris White

I have had the chance to interview C.P. White before and was looking forward to interviewing him today. He did not disappoint; the interview was fresh, fun and a blast as I had hoped. Here is the link to today’s show:

Okay let’s get to the novel we discussed shall we:

Three Errors with Compound Sentences

You have two connected ideas, two ideas that together make a complete message. In fact, the connection is so close that you want to join them into one long sentence. For example, let’s say you want to communicate these two ideas:

1. The man entered with a gun.

2. Bank personnel were not amused.

You want to write them in one longer…

H.R. Toye Guest Post

Giovanni Gelati, blog talk radio star and co-collaborator once asked my husband, fellow author Cody Toye, if he lived in fear of waking up with me standing over him with a butcher knife in my hand.  While I can indeed shoot razor sharp darts at him with the look that is perfected over time with every married woman, I’m sure Mrs. Gelati can vouch for this; I have never caused him physical harm.  I have ways of making him attest to this point, mwahaha.

How is…

"A Night To Remember" Bob Hamer Guest Post

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

By Bob Hamer

"Some people spend an entire lifetime wondering if they've made a difference. The Marines don't have that problem." …Ronald Reagan

I spent four years on active duty as a Marine and twenty-six years as a street agent for the FBI. In retirement I’ve penned three books and have written for television. I’ve met Medal of Honor recipients and the Commandant of the Marine Corps, award-winning actors and Hall of Fame athletes, politicians and…

Phobia

Shadow poised in the harsh light

Silent tear

Recluse

Gathering autumn leaves

Crumbling in the hand

In death,alive

Craven depth

Blight of fury

Shade your eyes

Hide from the gleam

Enter the chasm

Widening stench

Away from love hate love

God and you

She

Long hair flowing ,blowing

Dark eyes smiling,knowing

She knew the love of loves

As  only those who lost it know

She lived in memories

With nothing but wisdom to show

She walked tall andalone

Waiting,wondering

As she smiled with her eyes

Knowing

And her dark hair blowing

The holy land

The overladen dusty skies

Descent of death

Within every Muslim

Lies the spirit of Aljihad

What is life..this world

What use is existence

Amid this gory massacre

Murder of innocents

Surpassing all reality

Is the road to eternity

We shall repay our debts

Lay down our lives

The cruel world watches with cold eyes

Flickering screens

As we live through each…

AlJihad

How human are you

When your hands are bloody

How human are you

When you have ridden

Through the valley of death

I defy you

I shall resist

Fight for my people

Fight for my land

I shall write

With the ink of anguish

Narrate my sorrow

Drown in my pain

The heavens cry

The mournful wind

Wafts through the valley of Karbala

To the bloody…

Lost world

Missing you,missing me

That feeling

Like everything had fallen

Right into place

Unlucky you,unlucky me

The world changed

Taking a new bend

With you at the farthest pole

Faraway ,faraway me

And everything seemed

Like it never did

Some  magic spell

Losing you,losing me

Happiness evaporated

Leaving these squiggles,scribbles

And a plastic…

Us

Recall when our eyes first met

Recognising,memorising,mesmerising

Recording that moment in time

Precious,pure,sublime

Life took a sudden bend

With no beginnings,no end

Nothing halfway,no pathway

No solutions,no restraint

You are my sandcastle

Steadfast,peaceful in unity

Yet just a touch

Vision,or a mirage

A sea of serenity

Key to eternity

Utopian…

Margalla Hills

This crispy morning

We walk in the woods

Hand in hand

In silence.

The smell of pine trees

Dry leaves rustle underfoot

The rolling turquoise skies

And emerald Margalla Hills.

In the morning after

The repose,the rapture

The sweet unspoken

Melody of love

Music in the air

Heavens symphonies

Peace to share

And feel of eternity

Phantom Love

Engulf me,enclose me

Live in my heart

Unseen,unknown

My fantasy love

You whisper  to me

In the  silent night

Follow me

In the brazen daylight

You live without me

Yet within me

Surrounding me

Unreachable,unfathomable

Yet you return

Crowding my thoughts

Cloying my senses

Distant phantom love.

Perchance...

Perchance to meet today

When the air is soft

And the sky violet

Perchance to touch your hand

And cross back into time

When our love was young

The bridges in between

Haveall been crossed

Perchance to think

To love

And all that was is lost

And all that was is lost.

We know that we can look

Back on the paths we took

With a smile

Perchance to wish

Back all those…

Ghosts

Ghosts dwell with me

Every minute of my consciousness

And i cannot even laugh

At the joke of my existence

And their nothingness...

Ghosts,dear,darling,kind

Remind me in a soft voice

Whispering in my ear

How empty life has become

With their absence

Ghosts,oft remembered ghosts

Have stolen away my heart

And left a   dizzy part of me

Wondering if i,m the…

Double Take Melody Carlson

I really enjoy Melody Carlson. I have had the chance to interview her on my blogtalk radio show, The G-ZONE, a little while back; here is the link:

http://www.blogtalkradio.com/gelatisscoop/2011/04/13/melody-carlson-is-my-guest-today

I really enjoyed our discussion and had a nice time talking with her, so when the opportunity came up to read her novel I took a leap at it, why…

Sea of love

You came into my life

Like a tender breeze

Beckoning,caressing

Softly like a roving cloud

I wander aimlessly on the shore

Of my life

Watching the receding waves

As you approach me

Come,enclose me

In your  warmth

Peaceful,dove like

To fall into slumber

T be with you

Midst the ascending clouds

And the  depths of the sea

Forever....

Frozen Fire

Come...walk with me..

Over this icy sheet of  water

Crystalline,wafer thin and fragile

Just like the path to eternity

Glide like a lazy ballerina

Floating aimlessly in gauzy organza

Our breath frozen in tiny icicles

And snowy silence

With fire in our hearts

In this winter wonderland

Flames ...just frozen

Ribbons of red and white

The world is like a bubble

Afrozen…

Chasing Sunsets Eva Marie Everson

I got way more than I bargained for in this novel. Usually my reads aren’t as emotional as this one is. The post for Chasing Sunsets was supposed to have been up last week, but with my laptop getting hit with a bad virus I didn’t get to put it up so I am sorry and can only apologize to Revell and Eva Marie Everson. Back to the novel at hand, here is the synopsis:

“Kimberly Tucker's life hasn't turned out the way she thought it would. A divorced mother of two, Kim resents her…
