OMG, this is so awesome, and just the kind of story I'd love to write! XD I love taking old ideas, concepts, and legends and twisting them into something totally new! XD Plus, I love the grim fairy tales! :D Thanks for telling us about this! Even if my story doesn't get picked, it will still be really fun and challenging! :D So I'm going to get writing on it right away! XD
Pink, I'm delighted to see you so excited about that! I have a perfect resource to share with you since you're interested in old legends and ideas. There's a site called Encyclopedia Mythica that describes almost every form of mythology and charcaters from folktales that you can imagine from all over the world. You may find some inspiration for characters or stories you want to discover more about there and to work from.

The Select an area listing on the right hand side takes you individual sections. Each of those have more information in an A-Z listing within each one on the left hand side of the page. I like to choose one at random and see what comes up. Some are only a line or two and some are longer. Have fun! :)
