Life

Life... has not always been kind to me. But... it doesn’t end with that statement. I have more life to live, a continuation where there seemed none before. And I am able to say, life can be kind. It can be merciful. It can be giving. It can provide a way out of the ruthlessness. Life has not always been kind to me. But it’s given me a second chance. I think there’s some kindness in that.

All N

But with this book, the Author's focus is a bit more laser sharp. It particularly hones in on the shift that takes one into that downward spiral and into harmful destructive behavior: that is the shift from depression to deep depression. They are not the same. In fact, they are dissimilar, because they are divergent. Depression takes you through one stage of emotions that hold their own volatility. But deep depression takes you to the next stage. It has its own stage on which to perform. It…

No Holds Bar

To combat the cost of mental illness, I use the benefits in

my purse. The resources in my purse include medicine

management, coping skills through behavior therapy,

and therapeutic independent and group therapy. Because of

what’s in my purse, I thrive with mental illness. This victory

triangle allows me to have successes against these illnesses that  I would not have had I not experienced that turning point

in my life. These elements I have, with help from God…

Self-Talk

My encounter with this man not only triggered the episode

of a delusion, but of low self-esteem and self-worth, almost

leading to deep depression. It’s almost like it’s a genius move.

The words of deep depression are only a conversation of

what you don’t like about yourself. It likes to make you think

that a funnel of deep depression is a comfortable place to die.

But it’s got to get to the point where you’re fighting it just as

strongly as it’s fighting…

Fight Back

Personalize the tools you obtain and develop from these  sessions. Otherwise, you become stuck in a pattern, and  inevitably return to the place you do not wish to go back to.  You ask yourself, What is my takeaway? What do I get from this
and how can apply it to my life for healthy mental living? What is my goal? Then apply it. Now that I know I’m unstoppable, I want  to have mental power. I have mental power. It’s an ongoing  fight, so I say: Let’s fight!

Couseling is Good

Going through individual counseling allowed for the turning point in my life. Here is where I no longer sought

death, but instead began seeking life. Here is where I began to appreciate living and living in a healthy way. Here is where I learned to “put up my dukes” so to speak and fight those mental challenges I faced every day. Here is where I began to use the tools necessary to live my life. So what does individual counseling entail? Individual

counseling includes sessions between…

Illnesses

So, what exactly is mental illness? Mental illness is a set of health conditions that can affect your behavior, your emotions, and how you think. It affects your personal actions, and how you interact with family, in social settings, or at work. It can also be related to times of distress and the post effects of trauma. There are certain things you experience when you are dealing with mental illness. Two of these things are a trigger and an episode. Fortunately, there are solutions that…

Mother to soon

So begin the cycle of me having children, and my mother taking them in and taking care of them until they themselves were almost teens. I believed she felt guilty for keeping me from saying anything about my trauma, so she took on the responsibility of my four children. Looking back, whatever her motives, I appreciate her for that. My life was too much of a mess, barely taking care of myself, let alone my children. Four tries later, it still didn’t work. My life was still in shambles, I kept…
