First Sale on the new marketing technique!

In trying to promote sales for my book series I've offered the first book in the series as a TOTALLY FREE DOWNLOAD for a limited time only. I hoped if they liked the first book they'd be willing to buy the next one. Well i got 6 more download reviews and my first sale within 8 hours of doing it this way. Now I know one sale really doesn't mean anything but I see it as a positive start to say the least. At the same time I'm blogging to everyone everywhere about it being a free download to…

E- Book Promotion Days

Those of us in the independent sector of publishing will no doubt know that marketing a new book is akin to burning pound or dollar notes. You do all the promotion, you blog like mad, network like a social prostitute and throw money on great ideas, and all you get as a reward is one measly sale on Amazon.

But the other great thing you notice is that one measly sale makes a significant difference on your chart rating, promoting your book thousands of places up the scale. Many of us…

Hell no! Every year thirty million trees are used to produce books sold in just the United States. That's more than a thousand times the number of…

The Rapidly Growing Phenomenon of e-Books

Electronic Books, the entertaining way to save our beautiful trees, which are one of nature's most amazing gifts. Electronic books and their amazing digital readers are stampeding around the world like billions of Texas cattle, and it's just the beginning. Compared to the new growth of a mighty oak tree, proudly spurting out of the ground; however, this oak tree is technologically energized, and it'll be a thousand feet tall within another year.…

How much should my e-book cost?

Amazon.com and SmashWords have opened the doors for self-publishing authors to distribute their e-books worldwide, and many authors are quick to take advantage of this opportunity. Many new self-publishing authors are looking for the most readers possible, so they choose a low price. Perhaps the author is hoping consumers will buy… Continue
