While driving the unmarked-company vehicle Steve dialed his fiancé’s number but she wasn’t picking-up. Listening to her voicemail’s tagline for the umpteenth time, the irked man waited for the beep and finally left a message.
“Barb, I’m pulling into your driveway. Our flight didn’t take off. I hope that your auto-answer is on because I don’t want to barge in and frighten you. I figured I’d give you a heads-up; I’m staying…

I Won’t Be Home For Christmas
Vinny mulled things over while sitting in a parked car in an underserved community. The Neighborhood Crime Stoppers resigned years ago, allowing corruption to infiltrate every nook and cranny like melted butter on a hot English muffin. The detective’s officiousness sent him on a wild-goose chase an hour drive from home. This dick didn’t ruminate his personal welfare. The stallion is a risk-taker and ventured into the war zone. His…

DIALOGUE WITH THE MOST HIGH
In the midst of the immeasurable expanse called the City of Light, seated upon a pure-gold throne, his hair white as snow, eyes glowing torches and the Deity’s electrified voice echoes into space cracking a whip giving salutation to the opening of the day. The Eternal Father, who makes all things new, powerfully vocalizes his intensity, releasing justified energy. Only the Holy Spirit heard God speak. Judgment was…

The day we moved out of our Lukens Avenue home, I dug a shallow grave by the gazebo, and buried my paper-dolls, forever. Taking the small toys and bird nest that I found in the playroom when we moved in, I carefully placed the items in a brown-paper bag. Leaving the poke by the backyard swing, I threw a kiss in the air…

Atheism is in.
“They have purely and simply finished with God!” — Friedrich Engels.
More than an ism, it is the statement of modern age. Perhaps much more — now it’s almost a religion. And, as…

Theologians argue the process of a person become born-again. In this Scripture, Jesus explains that a man must be born again in order for him to see the Kingdom of God. Nicodemus poses the question, how can a man be born again if he is already old? Surely a man cannot re-enter his mother’s womb and become born again. This issue does not sound confusing to those who are saved and have accepted Jesus Christ into their hearts, but to the world this can become a confusing matter.…

Hello Everyone,
It is summertime, that hot time of year. This is the time when families, friends, relatives and all will be getting
together for those big family reunions and family gatherings in the backyard. I love summetime even though
it is muggy hot down south. That is one reason some call it the "dirty south". (smile). I love all of God's
seasons. They are all very special times of the year. God made all of them for a reason. The…

On being here
Every human being experiences a sense of contention and resistance to being in a plane that feels like separation. The desire to re-member what you are within ME is more than a yearning. It feels much more like an unfulfilled drive that you have no hope of achieving. From the moment the physical body slides out of the birth canal, the very first physiological impression is loss and separation.
Impression number two is survival through alerting everyone in…

Where Do Strong Men Go
By C.E. Manor
Where do strong men go when they have to weep
When they have to cry or express defeat
When their wives are calling their men of steel
Or their children come running with confidence and zeal
When the rent is late and the lights are due
Women…

If someone were to ask me why I write, I would have to reply, “Why not?” It is part of who I am. As a child, my love of a good story often got me into trouble at school. I would hide my library book, usually a mystery, behind the pages of a bulky school text. That is probably the reason my grades suffered in other areas, especially math.
At night, my mother would often find me hiding under the bed sheets reading. This was after she had told me more than once to turn out the lights…

Hi I am a new author with my book being released this week by Tate Publishing. It is a one of a kind Christian book and a true "David versus Goliath" story that is very unique. I might also add it is the first Christian book about the IRS, and that statement always brings a smile to everyone. So far I have really been encouraged because everyone that has read the pre-release book has told me they were not able to put the book…
