Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

One of the things that many freelance writers find is a sink or swim situation is the problem of finding work, when really it does not need to be difficult.

It takes commitment in looking daily until you build up a client base, and networking with other freelance writers. It is amazing the amount of work that is passed around when you network.

This way there is time for doing personal writing, because you have your business under control.

What does "freelance" mean again? Sorry I'm a preteen so I'm not that good with vocabulary.
Freelance writers are writers that write for other people's needs for a living. It is a freelance writer's employment to write the type of articles for a business or website, rather than writing for enjoyment.

I hope this explains it a little better for you.
Oh, okay. Because the 'free' in freelance got me thinking it was the kind of writing for enjoyment.

The "free" part of freelancing is that you are able to work for whoever you want, whenever you want. You're not tied to a company or employer and can work for several at once. It's not as easy as it sounds because you have to be disciplined in your approach and be capable of getting out there to find work without assistance. But you do get to set your own dress code if you work from home. ;)
