Authors.com

Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

I'm not one for advertising and I've got no relationship to the website  apart from being a big fan... All my author needs and future advising needs have been and will be met by the good people over at fiverr.com

It's a website were people do pretty much anything for $5 (£3.50)  The good stuff is starting to cost a bit more as people's online reputations are getting known the site been running for a long time now but is still very affordable.

Absolutely love Fiverr.

Hi Toby

I had to laugh as the topic caught my attention, just as your one on book pricing did - and I see you authored this topic also.

I like Fiverr and have had some great experiences but I've also had some very low grade experiences. The good far outweighs the bad but I do proceed with caution when purchasing.  I have found Fiverr customer service to be excellent and they have helped me recoup funds numerous times when orders were delivered without any work being done.

As a marketer, I created Fiverr gigs and made money from day one.  The purpose being to see how profitable a seller could be on Fiverr.

As far as advertising, I am quite curious what you have purchased via Fiverr sellers and what your return on investment has been.

Sincerely,

Diana Loera

Thanks for your message, to be honest Fiverr advertising... mmm I have spent a fair bit of money now on radio and TV marketing I haven't seen any return in book sales.  Radio advertising has been ineffective.

TV advertising is a new area I'm looking into I'm on week 3 and I haven't seen any sales, however, I have notice a greater online awareness of my book from other sites.

I'm not sure if  Fiverr is good for marketing or not.  THE NEXT STEP is my first publication so I haven't got a backlog of books behind me, which probably would make a difference.

Thanks for your message, it was interesting.

Hi Toby

Radio and TV are definitely interesting media machines. I've placed advertising on TV and radio for over 20 years and much has changed, especially in the past few years.  Both need much more repetition - and money spent- than they did a few years ago.  It would not surprise me at all if you see drag response from the advertising that you have done thus far.

If you have time - I would be more than interested in seeing/hearing your TV and radio spots.

Sincerely

Diana
