I walk along, with my case of wealth

As I discern a man

With body and mind lacking health

His only home visible of an abandoned van.

He fell asleep flaunting a cardboard sign

"Need Money.  Please Help" it said

Reading the sign, I realized his benign

Self that couldn't be dead.

I pull out my pocket simple dollars of two

But in his mind, it was worth all of all

To this day of that action I do not rue

For his kindness and hope was not, nor will ever be, enthralled.

He cried for the gift, and I cried with him

But I was happy, for he was no longer grim.

(What do you think?)

Jezreel,

I believe that random acts of kindness are the trademark of humans who live as our Creator intended for us to live.  Thank you for sharing your poem.

I think you have inspired me to perhaps share a poem.
