First Rose is a book about what one imagines will occur immediately after death. This is a subject that few people discuss with one another. The Bible is relatively silent on the subject except for the fact that "to be absent from the body is to be present with Christ." First Rose is a work of fiction but it is possible that God has revealed to us some of the events likely to transpire following physical death. Just as dreams (through which God speaks)must be "rightly divided" so must our imaginations. When reading First Rose it will be as if you are taking this incredible journey yourself since it is written in first person.

The main character's name is Rose but it has little to do with the storyline. This is not a book for the faint of heart but it is a book for those who want to know what others think awaits them in life hereafter. It is an easy and fast read and very hard to put down.

Your book comes across as very intriguing, Mary! I was wondering if it's already published or had a release date been set. What inspired this?

I am delighted with the cover design for First Rose. It will be released sometime in early 2010. I had hoped for an earlier release but I remain content. lol It will be the only entire book devoted to a detailed tour of Heaven. Many questions you have had concerning eternal life will be settled as you read First Rose. It is fictional reality and was based on the Bible, years of counseling, personal thoughts and facts gleaned from others who have had "after death" experiences. Hope and joy will be restored to your life here when you read what may await all of us after death. It is highly recommended for everyone. Enjoy!!

Intriguing is right! I have so many questions for you I don't know where to begin. I am writing a Romance novel based on reincarnation, not spiritual based, but a lovely story. Being a new writer, I spend most of my time studying, attending classes and workshops and of course writing. I've only started about five months ago, and have about 30,000 words written with a goal of about 75,000. I am curious as to how often, how many hours a day, words a day, and mainly how you do it! I have all the time in the world as my husband works, so I quit my very full time nursing/quality job. I guess I am just facinated with this whole "writers" live. By the way, the cover of your book is gorgeous! Chris

Thanks Christine. I aim at 50,000 words (a 200-230 page book) and spend about one month writing only when the inspiration is present. lol I am an artist...first. So I have to allow for painting too. I have already written my sequel to First Rose. It is waiting in the wings dependent on how First Rose does. Remember I am 70 and retired from the ministry and have more time than you. lol Do not give up! Since the "readers" have hit the market there will be a lot more downloads of the ebook I am sure. Thanks for your response, Mary

Hi everyone! I am busy working my "niche" before the official release of FIRST ROSE. I have discovered it is very important to make a lot of contacts yourself. Gather phone numbers and event dates for your marketer. It will be much appreciated. I am also trying to come up with somewhat of an original presentation for the signing table. I want to use my laptop when I can to run a silent trailer. It can run 2-3 hours without electricity. That will catch people's attention hopefully. I will also display my other passion which is art. I plan on having a small painting sitting on the table as well. If anyone has other ideas, could you share them with me?
