Hi Lisa, re your question: Lucky you, there is a Group for Promotions and Marketing right here! :) Since you asked about that I think that should be your first port of call, to join that, and any other one of the Groups you feel drawn to. Good luck!
I do plan to write more books. This novel will be the first of my saga. I really enjoy reading and writing fantasy and science fiction books and thank you for your support!
You have confidence to start an entire series of books. I am chicken. I have published my first and now will see if it sells before perhaps doing one more. If you are new to book marketing on the web check one of my blogs. http://firsttimeauthor-alcona.blogspot.com/ It is a summary of all the dumb things I have done in trying to learn book marketing. It's supposed to be a good time for self help books like yours and mine. I hope so.
Thank you for the add, I host The Writer's Block on www.svmixradio.com looking to interview authors, writers, poets - anyone in the writing genre. Email me: theoutlaw.svmixradio@gmail.com.
Hi Lisa. That's good news about self help books. How are you marketing your book? I self published so I didn't have an editor messing with what I wanted to say. Even if an editor is good it's frustrating to have them chop things out that you think are important.
Hi Lisa. I am using facebook also. You should consider whether you want the single facebook account in your name or your book. I am also trying to learn internet marketing. It's harder and more time consuming than I expected. If you are interested I post my dumb marketing mistakes and experiences on a blog. see http://firsttimeauthor-alcona.blogspot.com/

Hi Lisa, I received your email and I would be happy to share my book with you. Jut let me know what you would like me to do. I'm happy to know hat you think my book is worthwhile for people to ead. That has been my hope all along. I look forward to hearing from you soon. Congrats on your writing career. I keep thinking I will write another book and I do have ideas, but right now I am dealing with a family crisis. My sister has just been diagnosed with cancer and the doctors say it is incurable. So for now my writing has been put on hold. Hopingto hear from you. Linda McGovern
Hi Lisa, thanks for your comment. The reality is I am a real new kid on the block in terms of writing as a career. I have, in my previous career, written many papers and done a heap of research for that work, so it's given me some help towards being an author. I am still on my first manuscript and would be interested in what you have published.
