Just pondering because that is what I do....I ponder.  Some people wonder but for me I ponder.  Anyway, I write this to say that the sad reality of reality lately is living other people's reality.  It's sad, in my opinion, because living and breathing someone else's reality keeps you away from who you are.  I mean I'm so guilty of this.  I'm a living, breathing, if reality tv was crack I would be smoking the hell out of it, reality tv watcher.  I'm also guilty of being addicted to Facebook, Mediatakeout.com, Sandrarose.com, Bossip and a whole host of other sh*t that's out there in internet land.  But I realized that I'm no longer living my reality.  That means for most of my day when I could be learning more about me or writing books, I am learning about what others are doing, how their lives are and more importantly sifting through the endless pictures of boobs, guts and butts.  Ugh...

I think that a lot of us do that from time to time.  I find that sometimes life around us is so stressful that we need to forget about our lives and live in the reality of someplace else.  You would think that would make the perfect time to delve into our own imaginations and write in our own imaginary realities, but I have found that at the most stressful time, my own imagination is not enough and I need to search out others.  No shame in that.

I think that at times that helps us to put things into perspective. I find myself as guilty as you of searching out what others are doing and reading about what they are accomplishing.  Right now - I know that there are some great stresses in my life - and if that is what will allow me to relax and make it through these times, then so be it.  I'll get back to my own life soon - and my writing. You're not alone.

Hi Stacy.

I thank you for sharing with me.  It's funny because the more that I realized that I've gotten lost in other people's reality, it has actually helped me get more focused on my writing.  It dawned on me that if I have enough time to do all of that then I definitely have time to write.  So now I'm back to Authors.com and I'm going to make this a daily habit.  ;-)  (Writers unite!)
