Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

New to Authors.com

Just wanted to say 'hello' to my fellow scribes. I have been on another free authors web site since 2000, and I have communicated with writers from all over the world on it.
As for myself, I am a degreed journalist who has worked as a reporter, have been issued a teacher's certificate, am working on my Masters in Education, and have decided to go with PublishAmerica on the republication of the new version of my critically-acclaimed science fiction novel.
[Now, if I can only figure out an effective, marketing strategy. Fortunately, that can be put on hold for a few months.]
Finally, I have tried to post an old photo of myself, but Grandpa Bill here just can't figure out what to do after I click the 'Browse' button since my photo on file does not show up. Any constructive suggestions would be appreciated.

There's a section in the Groups about Promotion and Marketing. That will get you started when you're ready. :)

When my novel is finally ready to be sold via the internet [the ol' B&N, Amazon, etc. route], I know I will defintely need help in determining the best ways to market and promote it. Meantime, next week I will check out what Trudy suggested about getting my picture to appear here. Thanks again.

The more, the merrier. It's a good idea to get started building your online presence and generating some buzz before the book comes out, not just after. A website and/or blog is a must.
