Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

After I posted that I review books and will read most anything, a member asked me what genres I actually like to read.

I really do enjoy reading almost everything. I have an incredibly annoying sense of curiosity. :-)

My favorite fiction genres are historical fiction, romances (preferably historical, but I enjoy contemporary, too) and mysteries. I do read books with paranormal elements, but they usually fall into one or more of the other categories, as well.

I like non-fiction, too. My favorites are travel memoirs, such as Diary of Two Motorcycle Hobos by Lois Wilson and A Walk Across America by Peter Jenkins. I like non-travel memoirs, too. :-) My son has Asperger's (and a laundry list of other conditions) so I like to read books written by or about people on the autism spectrum. I also sometimes like to read books about natural health, physical fitness, and cooking.(Yes, I have actually sat down and read through a cookbook... or three.) Sometimes I read a motivational book just for a pick-me-up.

Hello, my first book which is being published now is a nonfiction. I understand that, at times, nonfiction is just as hard to get out there than fiction is. It is nice to see you like to read nonfiction too. My Facebook page for my book is at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Words-from-my-Mouth/218297534885343

under "INFO" it tells more on what it is about. There is also a link to the blog I put up for the book at http://wordsfrommymouth-personaddiction.blogspot.com/

If you wish you can "LIKE" the Facebook page and that would be very appreciative.

For some reason, I just got to read this.  How about spy thrillers?  How about short stories?

I'm trying to catch up on my review list and I'm not currently accepting books. But yes, I do like spy thrillers, although it's not a genre I search out, as it's not a favorite. I like to read short stories, but I prefer not to review them because it's too hard to say anything about them other than "I like it' or "I don't like it" without including spoilers.
