Excerpts:

‘Being Reiki’- the art of simplicity.

"The essence of being an efficacious Reiki practitioner would seem to be orientated around the message of simply ‘being Reiki’.  This philosophy is very much opposed to the setting of specific goals, outcomes or the need to prove that Reiki healing works.  The simplicity of this message is in fact opposed also to conventional scientific or indeed ego orientated criterion, (although there is increasingly plenty of empirical scientific evidence of the success of Reiki based healing- quantum physics and metaphysics are certainly fruitful area.) I have therefore focussed on expressing my examples in my personal reflections drawing on a ‘qualitative’ rather than purely ‘quantitative’ manner.  A further informative piece of advice from many informed Reiki Masters, is that of familiarisation and sensitisation to different energy cues.  By this I am referring to the suggestion of using the symbols learned by Reiki practitioners as merely an aid to establishing a positive technique in ‘being Reiki’, as opposed to becoming limited by their application.  I am myself indeed using these symbols to assist in my understanding of the nature of subtle energy and its variations. Ultimately this is possible to actualise in treatments without necessarily becoming over dependent on evoking Usui Reiki symbols.  Competency is dependent on intent and sensitivity and practice!"

The artwork cultivated in my spirit art collection is permeated by ancient esoteric symbols and residual cultural mythology. My art is defined by the legacy of my own connection to the conscious world and is a reflection of how I perceive the living experience. The collection explores the parameters of the avant-garde and is characterised by pastel colours, realisations of creatures cast into surreal technicolour, benevolent gods, angels and the super- verse populated by the doyens of our imagination guised as Kings..."
