This blog is dedicated to fellow writers & artists, especially those with health disabilities.

We are living in a time when social values are honed almost exclusively onto environmental sustainability. As a writer with an academic background in social discursive theory, I am not surprised. Terminologies of sustainability are actually rather superficial, politically correct, whilst also based upon a premise that avoids 'the zero equation'. Humanity's negation of the environment may be a little too profound to avert through mere pursuit of sustainable living, treating Gaia exclusively as our own fecund 'garden'.

I have become increasingly aware that other pertinent social issues have become less prominent; certainly discussion on health disability and egalitarianism per se are less prominent at this time. In the below precis text, I explore the fraternal concepts of #ConsciousCreativity #InvisibleCreativity & of course sustainability, generating fluent links between human egalitarianism & organic value of natural resources. I will not contend that people are 'mere human resources', rather we all have innate potential. In the modern digital matrix, health disabled writers do need a greater voice. Those involved in the creative professions, like Mother Earth, are facing the consequences of humanity's multiplicity of pragmatic 'zero equations'!

As a health disabled writer, I Stephanie Lynne have at times felt that my own creative projects were subject to invisibility cloaking! Disabled writers are frequently marginalised, and truly in need of a boost in social visibility. Thus, the concept of Conscious Creativity, Invisible Creativity and Sustainable Creativity are all intimately linked as fraternal cultural values. Crucially, writers & artists are not subject to a minimum wage- the internet era has led to difficult dilemmas in relation to digital rights managements. Frequently, friends are happy to 'thumbs up' a positive effort, but less likely to actually pay for a labour of love book or creative product...This is an unfortunate truth. The age of free copy has led to a devaluation in the written word. Sharing work must be counterbalanced by a growing awareness that creative souls need sustenance to meet expenses.

At this time, it is extremely difficult for those who work in creative professions to even achieve a subsistence wage to live. Further, writers & artists can take steps to minimise their ‘carbon footprint’ through the Kindle platform- seeking to live and produce labour of love work in a manner that sustains their needs, at no cost to the environment. Consciouscreativity involves the evolution of new ethical values. To manifest positive changes in the publishing industry requires a change first in cultural expectations…

Amazon Kindle dignify the opportunity to publish independently, however, not many readers will purchase books even for a few pennies in the modern technological era. Being a disabled writer or artist is frequently isolating, with little reward for contribution to literacy. We need to raise awareness in the publishing industry of the barriers authors now face. A positive incremental change is needed to recognise the potential of latent creative talent, with particular support focused on those with special needs.

*Support the future of creative literacy. Authors should not be rendered invisible, with the value of ‘the word’ increasingly diminished. Obtain a sample of a book you value and ultimately if favourable, do purchase the work if reasonably priced — Please consider both fiction and non-fiction! Fiction at this time appears to have gained a hegemony in the market. I produce artistic biographies and work on alternative health titles; although popular, this material is less well supported by the book industry per se.

- Positive constructive feedback is valued. Authors and artists are also frequently judged in public forums — a culture of greater support and rapport would help to share experiences and professional wisdom in the company of fellow kindred spirits!
