While We Are Still Young

While we are still young

I want to tell you that I love you.

I want you to hold me

And never let go.

I want to be happy with you.

To go on a walk

Under the stars

And with the moon as our witness

Kiss you under their sparkling light.

Let’s run under the rain

And be free and happy.

And kiss some more

And hold our hands

And never let go.

So in a couple of years,

We shall be able to look back

And…

October First

It’s been one month,
Two weeks,
And three days
Since I kissed you.
Your taste,
I’m no longer familiar with.
Your smell,
It makes me dizzy no more.
What is left now?
Just a memory.
The problem with it?
The longer I keep remembering,
The harder it gets forgetting.
I do wish,
For one more kiss;
For one more touch.
Will I ever slip?
It’s been one month,
Two weeks,
Three days…
I’m just fine.

Unreachable

My simple stare:

Quiet, yet it screams.

Lost in sight,

Awaiting reply.

My simple stare: inexplicable, real, invisible.

My deepest thoughts:

Oblivious to everyone.

Forever like that they shall remain.

My deepest thoughts: inexplicable, real, unknowable.

My craved desires:

They’ve pushed my brain aside.

At times, they make me cry.

At times, they make me laugh.

But they always make me feel alive.

My craved desires: inexplicable,… Continue

Autumn Leaves

I sit, staring through the window.

The backyard seems so empty.

So peaceful. So quiet.

And though invisible,

I know the wind blows by.

The tree’s hair is now dusk gold.

October seems forever lasting.

My pain feels forever going.

My heart is forever broken.

My eyes shall never see your smile again.

Our hands shall never touch again.

Your voice shall never be heard again.

Forever lost. Forever remembered.

I miss our fights.

I… Continue

The Day I Walked Away

Like an old grandma on her chair,
I became wiser.
Like a small rat against a snake,
I became a fighter.
Like a child on his birthday,
I became happier.
But most importantly;
Like a soothing breeze,
waving gently above the sea,
the day I walked away,
I became free.

Moving On

I wrote your name on the sand;
tears rolling down my face.
I wrote your name on the sand;
a salty breeze giving way.

I wrote the date we met on the sand;
for that I will always remember.
I wrote the date we met on the sand;
that cold and old December.

An innocent wave erased your name.
An innocent wave erased our date.
I secretly smiled inside,
and silently walked away.

Summer Love

I wish this time could last forever.

And I wish for the days to last just a little longer.

I promise I'll never forget you.

Even when the wind starts blowing,

or when the leaves start falling,

or when turkeys become everyone's menu.

Even in the snow,

or when the cold overwhelmes me,

or when every house is lighted by tiny-little stars.

Even in the middle of the blossoming flowers,

or when the green starts appearing everywhere,

and happiness and… Continue

Cadet Ryan

Ryan Seel woke up that morning ready. He took a shower and dressed himself. He met his wife in the kitchen, where she desperately threw herself to him and started crying.

“Please…” she pleaded.

“We’ve been through this,” he answered.

“Please, Ryan! Please…”

Between sobs and deep breaths, the woman tried to talk. She, in fact, was trying to deceive her husband from what he wanted to do. He only stared at her, almost in awe as he listened to every single sob and saw every… Continue

The Mailman

The mailman arrived at exactly 8:30 a.m. every Wednesday. Every Wednesday he would go to the last house on Maples Street and deliver the mail, which included letters, taxes, and subscriptions. Every Wednesday he would arrive and find the house empty. He would open the mailbox and leave the family’s mail. He would later return to Maples Corner and wait for the bus. When he arrived that Wednesday, he found a teenage boy sitting on the front porch.

“Well, hello there. Good Morning!” he said… Continue

Nina

She was alone. Everybody was laughing, and talking and playing, but she was alone.

“Guys,” Jen told her friends. “I’ll meet you afterwards.”

She took a step into her table. Unwillingly, the lonely girl looked at Jen. She smiled but the girl did not smile back. She lowered her head and continued eating. Jen pulled a chair and sat down. Again, unwillingly, the girl looked at Jen.

“Hi!” said Jen.

The girl took no notice and continued eating.

“I’m Jen,” commented a puzzled… Continue

Midnight Sea

I sneaked out while slowly closing the door. I did not want to wake up my roomates. The floor creaked with every step i took. Apparently, the wood was old enough. I walked toward the kitchen and opened up the backdoor. I carefully closed this door too and soon found myself outside. Midnight was really cold. I zipped my jacket and carefully stepped down the creaky steps. I look both sides before crossing the Resort Villa's street, for it is anything but normal to find a 16 year old outside his… Continue
