My characters tend to have lives of their own . They become real in my imagination, either that or they are wooden and need to be brought to life ... sounds familiar somehow.

My favourite character is possibly Grumphspawn, who has been about for over ten years already but has just recenly made it to the written word. He has redeemable qualities and a very large ability to imagine too.

Thanks. Yeah, I loved the series. There are 15 books altogether. The last book was sad...

Two other characters I like; Sabriel and the Disreputable Dog from Garth Nix Abhorsen Trilogy.

Thanks!! I know, the Abhorsen Trilogy was fantastic. You read it backwards? You're like my mom. My favorite of the three books was Sabriel. Have you read the fourth book? Well, it’s not really the fourth book, but it does continue the story. I have yet to read it. It is a collection of stories. The title, Across the Wall: A Tale of the Abhorsen and Other Stories

If you like the Abhorsen Trilogy, I suggest you check out, The Kiesha’ra series by Amelia Atwater-Rhodes. You can buy the books in one volume now. The title, The Shapeshifters.

A movie!! That would have been great. It is funny, they nearly never make movies out of my favorite books and nearly never make tie-ins out of my favorite movies??

It has been years since I’ve read the Sweep series, all the books seem to have blended into one. Seeker (the tenth book) is about Hunter’s search for his father.

I put together a list of the books
The Sweep series by Cate Tiernan

#1: Book of Shadows
#2: The Coven
#3: Blood Witch
#4: Dark Magick
#5: Awakening
#6: Spellbound
#7: The Calling
#8: Changeling
#9: Strife
#10: Seeker
#11: Origins
#12: Eclipse
#13: Reckoning
#14: Full Circle
#15: Night’s Child
Okay, i got a new one. Thirteen Reasons Why, It's a beautiful book about a girl who had a perfect life, then 13 things went wrong and ruined it. Then she committed suicide. But before she did, she made 13 tapes, and sent them to the people who caused those events. It's a 1st person story through the eyes of a guy who has a crush on the girl who died, and he's going crazy, listening to all 13 tapes, waiting, dreading, fearing for when his name came up and why. He loved her, so he souldn't be on it, right? And while he's waiting, he's discovers secrets about people at the school he could never immagine. And one about himself. (P.s. sorry if i sound all dramatic, that's what was on the back of the book, with a little of my own description added.)
That sounds interesting!! I wanna read!! Im gonna look for it!
i wanna read it too! ;) sounds good.

I must say I have a liking for the old, nay ancient, rogue Belgarath the Sorcerer. Eddings (both of them) write well and are very entertaining. I have always had an affinity with wizards, my favourite role playing class when we played D&D back in the 70's. Belgarath is a flawed character, but honest in his own way, driven to succeed and akin to the wildness of wolfs.

My favorite character is Mr. Fogg. He is very specific and always accurate in terms of time.
