National Book Award Nominee, Whisper upon the Water is a Middle School/YA historical novel dealing with the forced removal, education, and later placement of Native Americans on reservations during the late 1800s/early 1900s. Also available: Student workbook and Teacher Edition in paperback and hardcover, and Spanish translation. The book has a Lexile level, and meets the No Child Left Behind requirements. Whisper upon the Water is used in the Gifted and Talented Program and was featured as a Book of the Month selection the Public Library System in the northeast and Midwest.
