We made Butler Did It!  free last week, .99 cents on Amazon because I have yet to figure out how to make it free there.  The result was a HUGE increase in downloads.  It's so cool to think that that many people were at least tempted to read it.

I wish I knew what they thought of it.  The feedback we have gotten has been good overall, with our two most honest and critical family saying they thought it dragged until Kobi jumps off the yacht.  We have considered rewriting and re-posting it, now that we have that feedback we can see how to do it better.  But we're also kind of tired of  it and want to get on to the next one.   And do we dare change it now after people have already read it?  Why not, I guess, if it makes it a better book.  It's a quandary.

That's excellent news on the downloads Sally! :) I wouldn't be tempted to change it until I found out what the policy is at Amazon and Smashwords about uploading revisions. It may be more trouble than it's worth if it's going to cost you downtime when you have traffic flowing. I imagine you would also have to clearly label it as a revision to avoid confusion.

It's seamless at Smashwords, the old version is available until the new version is approved.  I think I read the same at Amazon, but am not 100% sure.  I think we'll probably let it be good enough as it is unless we get a lot of other feedback saying the same thing.
