Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

Q1: Thanks for participating in our Authors.com Spotlight Interview series Jake! Please introduce yourself and your book to help our readers get to know you.
A: I am a 70 yr old male married to a delightful young lady and a pastor. I have written Spiritual/Biblical Psychology to quell the rift between science and the Bible. God bless His power into us in the Garden. Our link is the Holy Spirit and my book is an attempt at simplifying this.

Q2: Please explain how you came to be a writer, what inspired you to write your book(s) and how long it took.
A: The great answer book and health manual is the Bible. Since most do not seem to know that, I am trying to help with all the books and papers I have penned.

Q3: What did you enjoy most about creating this book?
A. As I researched it, I gleaned (most likely) more than any reader of this work will. It was exciting!

Q4: What facets of your life, both personal and professional, are  woven into your book, if any?
A. I use my life and technical experience throughout.

Q5. How did you get published?

A.  Xulon Press

Q6: Did you have any surprises or hiccups along the way during the  book writing and/or publishing process?
A. Only surprise was the enormity of the wonderful information and enlightenment, which I enjoyed. The hiccup was the need for so much patience in getting published.

Q7: What one thing did you wish you'd known before you started this project?
A. I cannot think of one.

Q8: You're a fly on the wall when readers are discussing your book.   What would you hope to hear them say about it?
A. “Wow! The light just came on. I really understand life or (_______fill in blank) better.”

Q9: Tell us one thing about you that most people don't know or  would surprise them.
A.  My wife says to tell you that I am a softie when it comes to children and especially the abuse thereof.

Q10: What single piece of advice would you give new authors?
A. If you have the passion, go with it and let you be expressed.

Q11: Share a short summary of a typical day in your life with us please.
A. 4AM Bible & honey-laden South American fresh-ground coffee.

6AM writing, teaching preparation, and breakfast.

9AM Teaching classes, ministering to people with needs, or worship services.

9PM Bed

Q12:  Describe where you do most of your writing. What would I see if I was sitting beside you?
A. Inspiration comes from Bible study and the woods (not necessarily at the same time.) Most of my writing is at the computer with a tall glass of well water.

Q13: What's your motto or favorite quote you like to live by?

A. Romans 8:28, “All things work together for good for those who love the Lord.”

Q14: Is there anything else you'd like to share with us in closing such as your website, an imminent book launch or what you're working on presently?
A. My church site: www.thewaychurch.info;

my college site: www.timothybiblecollege.org.
