A while ago I posted an article or two about how important it is to choose the leader that we need to fulfill our purpose.

If you were to Google the word leadership, you would find over 536,000,000 web pages with information on the importance and the how to of leadership. Wow, that might be a lot of information on one single subject, but the fact of the matter is many people are looking for someone to lead and mentor them. In the same time, Google searches give tens of millions of moms who are leaders or find their leaders.

My goal for writing this article is to bring clarity on the importance of finding a suitable leader in this business importance of finding a suitable leader in this business (Empower Network) based on trust, learning and training. We want to make not only leaders, but leaders of leaders, and then leaders of leaders of leaders!

Four Factors of Leadership

I assume you are already a member of Empower Network and want to know what qualities you need to be elected leader of the team that you organize or want to know how to choose your leader in Empower.

There are four major factors in leadership :

  • You must have an honest understanding of who you are, what you know, and what you can do. Also, note that it is the followers, not the leader or someone else who determines if the leader is successful. If they do not trust or lack confidence in their leader, then they will be uninspired. To be successful you have to convince your followers, not yourself or your sponsors, that you are worthy of being followed.
  • Different people require different styles of leadership. For example, a newbie or new affiliate requires more supervision than an experienced one.
  • A person who lacks determination and motivation requires a different approach than one with a high degree of motivation. You must know your team's members! As mother you know that starting point is having a good understanding of human nature, such as needs, emotions, and motivation. You must come to know what kind of support he needs technical, emotional, mental , computer skills.
  • You lead through open way communication. For instance, you should encourage them to communicate problems that encounter and give the confidence you would help them to perform anything for successes. What and how you communicate either builds or harms the relationship between sponsor and affiliate and could compromise team development .


All situations are different. What you do in one situation will not always work in another. You must use your judgment to decide the best course of action and the leadership style needed for each situation.

Various forces will affect these four factors. Just like family there are many forces that can bring more success for you and team's members.

According to a study by the Hay Group, a global management consultancy, there are 75 key components of team satisfaction .They found that:

  1. Trust and confidence in top leadership is the single most reliable predictor of members satisfaction in an organization.
  2. Effective communication by leadership in three critical areas was the key to winning organizational trust and confidence:

Most importantly, as leader you always encourage them because success depends on everyone's confidence and determination.

Just remember, in this game one interest is the interest of all, therefore collaborative atmosphere is so obviously in Empower Network.


So, to review:

  1. Helping team's members understand the Empower Network 's overall business strategy.
  2. Helping team's members understand how they contribute to achieving key business objectives.
  3. Sharing information from strategic objectives to small technical tricks.


So in a nutshell — you must be trustworthy and you have to be able to communicate forward a vision of where the organization needs to go.
