Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

Hey, today’s Wednesday, right? I lost a day there already this week; it feels more like Friday. Anyway, let’s get into it: Joel Andre will be my guest for the first time in The G-ZONE, my blogtalk radio show, on August 22nd, 2011 @ 2pm EST. Mark it down; don’t be late. Okay if you are late just listen in to the archives so you don’t miss a word. Here is the link to the show:

My guest today is Michael Lamendola, author of “Dirty Work”. We go live at 4pm EST. Should be a good time.

To the novel, here is a synopsis:

“On a warm summer afternoon, in Northern Arizona, a double homicide stains the ground with blood. Detectives are called out to handle the investigation, each plagued with their own internal demons, and aren't prepared for what they are about to find.

Detective Lauren Bruni, faces a world of darkness and evil, as a demonic force begins to leash an attack on a small town. As the stakes begin to rise, so does the stunning truth, that not even Lauren can imagine.

In a world where her life had started to fall apart, she must pick up the pieces and push forward in an effort to save those that she loves the most.

Joel M. Andre takes the Horror genre and pushes the boundaries in a tale full of suspense, dark comedy and genuine horror.”

Have I ever read a novel by Joel Andre? No, he was never on my radar? This blew my mind. I loved the manner in which he went about his business. The plotline was tight and his narrative was nothing short of explosive. The characters were fun in a “dark comedy” kind of way, and he definitely filled the story with plenty of suspense and genuine horror. This is what I love about this new day and age of digital publishing, finding new authors that should be read: Authors that have not just the chops, but the ability and the drive to get something like this to market and in front of readers. If you are looking for a new author to read, or if you are a Joel Andre fan , get this novel; have a blast. We will discuss this again on Aug. 22nd at 2pm EST. Me, I can’t wait.
