My Mother always told me: DO NOT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! That would be a big mistake here. The squirrel on the cover is cute and funny but the story inside is all too real and surreal at the same time. The story revolves around a poor guy that gets downsized after working at the same place for 25 years. Basically he is told one day that his services are no longer needed and he is shoved under the bus. Dribbles then comes into the picture as our now unemployed everyman has hatched a plan of revenge. Is it fun? Yes. Is it at times too real? Yes. Can we sympathize with him? Again Yes. Good stuff here and all for a buck. Don’t pass this up; it is compelling, sad and yet I think we can all feel for the guy, besides that Dribbles is worth a chuckle or two.

Don’t judge a digital short story by its cover. This is the story of what happens to a man that gets downsized after putting 25 years of his life into a company that sends him to the scrap heap. The pain, anguish and at times euphoria of freedom from his emotional bondage are all naked and raw for us the reader. Enjoy the birth of Dribbles the Squirrel and all that he is to become and used to represent.

Children’s Author, Cody Toye, lives in SW Missouri with his wife, Heather; eight-year-old son, Gideon; Labradoodle, Rose; and Weiner hound, Artemis.  He enjoys spending time with his family, martial arts, and ice-cream
