'What would you say if I said I had the power to control electricity with my mind?" The supposed magician said with that glare of greed in his eyes. He stood on a stage glaring down upon the small town that had gathered around. I stared at his hands as he said the "magic word"
and observed him holding a light bulb in his hand. I started to smirk when I saw the bulb turn on. No one knew my grand secret. The breeze of the fall slowly brushed my bangs out of my eyes. The light bulb lit and that is when that weird gut feeling hit me like an anvil. He had powers.
" Bull!!!" A drunk man yelled from the crowd of the men walking across the street to the small pavilion in the middle of town.
"I will prove my talent to you... who wants to be a volunteer?" He questioned in a venomous tone. I might be asessing this guy a little to harshly, but the last guy who had powers tried to kill me.
I quickly raised my hand as fast as possible. I had to be sure. I had to see the tattoo.
"Come son, come." He said as I walked up the stage.
I have the worst case of stage fright ever. I mean ever. I dont know why I actually agreed to this. My leather jacket held back my blushing face.
" What is your name?" He asked.
He had bright green eyes a clean shaven face but greasy black hair. The sunset in the back round glinted off of his nails. Ugggh. Those things were like daggers. His breath smelled sour like raw fish. "My name is...Nathan." I said with false confidence. My knees started to tremble from the pressure.
"Okay,Nathan how but you let me see your-" He never got any further. I flipped his palms and saw the tattoo of the bar code.
"YOU!" I shouted.
He was the reason for all of my pain. My life would have been great without him.I would have been fine. That is when I disappeared, and re-appeared in an instant. I found my self behind him. I swung with all my anger... TO BE CONTINUED...
