Like an old grandma on her chair,
I became wiser.
Like a small rat against a snake,
I became a fighter.
Like a child on his birthday,
I became happier.
But most importantly;
Like a soothing breeze,
waving gently above the sea,
the day I walked away,
I became free.

Moving On

I wrote your name on the sand;
tears rolling down my face.
I wrote your name on the sand;
a salty breeze giving way.

I wrote the date we met on the sand;
for that I will always remember.
I wrote the date we met on the sand;
that cold and old December.

An innocent wave erased your name.

I wish this time could last forever.

And I wish for the days to last just a little longer.
