If you share your goals more specifically, I think you'll get more guidance.
Are you taking any promotional materials with you? People love freebies at conventions. You need to have plenty of business cards too you can hand out.
If you have a cellphone with a camera, take pics of any business cards you're given. That way if you lose the card, you still have a picture with all the details.
Also if you see anything that really inspires you, whether it's a booth layout or really clever idea, take a picture. It's so easy to forget what you saw where and when at a large convention that you loved or struck you as eye-catching.
And wear comfortable shoes! :) You'll be on your feet all day. The main thing is to give off an approachable vibe and smile. That draws others to you, as does listening well. Have fun!
