This Fear … 

 

  That won’t disappear

  Heightening my despair

  Illumining phantoms in the midnight air

  Scorching flame in the atmosphere

 

  Frightening, engulfing fear

  Erupting, corrosive in the air

  Attacking, inflaming fear

  Reminiscing of dark-age despair.
