My chest feels stuffed,
I can't breath.
My eyes are drowned,
I can't see.
My throat is closed,
I can't swallow.
My nose is plugged,
I can't smell.
My nerves are tensed,
I can't move.
My mouth is locked,
I can't speak.
I'm finally released by the spell,
as tears run down my cheeks.

nice, strong poem.
What happened? Bearing in mind 'Cause and Effect'
we'd love to know what happened.
Permalink Reply by Lydia J Belt on August 3, 2012 at 5:29pm life at home is usually difficult for me, but for an entire week a lot of things seemed to come down on me at once. stress, depression, emotional pain, a torn heart. all of it built up to that moment and i broke down and let loose.

Permalink Reply by Robert L. Allen on August 13, 2012 at 9:07am Powerful piece! I don't believe we, the reader, needs to know what happened. Each reader who can relate to the poem has different things that will lead to these feelings. I wonder if the spell should be introduced somehow, thus creating another segment before the end or:
I'm finally released,
as tears run down my cheeks.
