One of the Multitudes

Balancing between two worlds

amongst the multitudes

of one’s self

in countless numbers

of misunderstandings

refusing to identify or grasp

the characteristics of so very few

will they not allow

a time when youth was young

before the day is called upon

to disappear in the shadows of yesterday’s dawning

when laughter and mockery

is sent forth

to dine at the feet of death

and still survive the banquet

from the murky swamps of woes

cast upon the existence

of less

is life not the catalyst

of the creator

at rebirth and if not shall the lost ever be found

I am truly excited about your creative potential!!!

Do you belong to any other poetry groups?  Are you aware of Poets & Writers.org. They are an excellent resource.

As a suggestion: it is a good practice to date and copyright everything you submit esp. in an internet enviorment. For example, I have seen comments that I have made in various org. that I belong to used to pump up google searches.

Thank you. I went to the site and signed up. And yes I realize by releasing anything on the web, it can be taken. However, I believe a true poet doesn't need to steal other peoples work. I know it happens. Somebody here has already barrowed some of my work...I feel for them. And yes, perhaps I should CR it. I think the poem above is strong. It's already been change a bit and is being prepared to be sent out to the publishers. Again Thank You...

I like your poem very much.  "Blancing two worlds, amongst multititudes of oneself."  The words could be applied to me.
Thank you...
