Creatures In The Dark

OK, earlier tonight I dosed off, and had such a creepy, disturbing dream, so, of course I made a poem about the creatures in it. XD Lol Anyway, hope you guys enjoy it!

Creatures in the dark

They all lark

When they hear a scream

They’re in your dream

These little things

Wait in the night

Where you must fight

To stay in the light

Your heart may get tight

But your legs must be swift

In order to lift

You from their evil grip

Be careful not to slip

Or they may catch you

And your family too

Lead them away

And stay

In any light you may find

And bind

Them to the corner

Or you may be a goner

They nibble at your toes

And are exposed

These creatures in the dark

Are all stark

And giggle every time a light goes out

That’s how they bring about

Your greatest nightmare

They love to share

Darkness and fear

They may be the last thing you hear

Faintly as the lights slowly dim

Into darkness
