Greetings Spotlight interviews!

My name is Garry E. Lewis I write fiction. Mystery/suspense and fictional horror as well. I have a three book mystery series that centers around a small rural town called Rileyville. Main characters are the town sheriff and his deputies, along with the town pastor, some colorful locals as well. I also have a three book fictional horror series, that center around a cursed object known as the devil's belt or wolf strap. Main character is a college professor who teaches a class on the paranormal, who's curiousity soon gets the best of him and he finds himself in entangled in a battle between the forces of good and evil that soon proves to be a living nightmare he cannot seem to escape from. As he goes up against werewolves and the devil himself. Each book picks up where the other leaves off, till it comes to it's final conclusion. Some of characters return in each book as other new characters are introduced into the on going storyline as well. Some of the older characters meet their untimely demise. As the battle between good and evil continues.

Sounds like an intriguing line of books, both of them.  Don't you love when you get onto something and it just takes you away.  Your books sound like you could just get lost in the story line while you are writing them.

My name is Stephen L. Brayton. My third book, “Alpha” will be published in August and I was wondering if your readers would be interested in learning about the book and its author through an interview.

“Alpha” is the sequel to “Beta” (published in 2011) and concerns Mallory Petersen, a Des Moines private investigator and Fourth Degree Black Belt in taekwondo, and her investigation into the murder of her boyfriend. She is also on the trail of a missing mentally unstable woman as well as continuing to operate her taekwondo school. Combining her investigative and martial arts skills, she uncovers a narcotics ring operated by some high profile people.

Similar to her previous mystery, “Alpha” deals with a serious subject matter–in this case illegal narcotics–but she can’t help encountering her share of unique individuals and odd cases. These include tailing a philandering blind man and finding a missing goat.

The story portrays a strong independent woman who strives for success in her ventures, is able to defend herself against a variety of threats, and cherishes her friends and students. The target readers would be martial arts and action mystery fans and women aged from teens to adult.

I would be able to discuss various topics including my background as a martial artist, the writing process, and my experiences with the publishing industry.

If you have any questions or require further information, please let me know.

Thank you for your consideration regarding an interview and I look forward to hearing from you.

Cordially,

Stephen L. Brayton
