I am in high school and i want to know how y'all
Handle all the peer presure because everyone is so critical
And the worst part is they all say different contradicting changes
I need to know how i should know who to listen to and why

Peer pressure from those you know is not a real test of your work, because it is an opinion already coloured by "subjectivity" of the worst kind. From those closest to you they can mean well but are unlikely to give you what you need. Or the opposite, those jealous of you or those who cant see past what you were to them yesterday...

You need independent  (more objective) reviews and professional advice. Real constructive critique. However, all authors have to develop a thick skin and learn to be persistently determined, so for that it may work, just be clear why you are asking for their opinions.

Good luck!

What you have to do, is separate yourself from NEGATIVE peer pressure, and try to surround yourself with Positive, encouraging peer pressure. But, we all know that can be difficult. Find yourself, be the person you want to be. Write down all the qualities of the person you want to be in life, and when faced with peer presser, bring out that little list of who you want to be, and based on that, what would you do?

Step to the beat of a different drummer, be your own person and block out what anyone else has to say. Truth is, people will always judge you, and talk about you and criticize you. What you have to do, is rise above them and take confidence and pride in you're personality, and individualism. It's a rare thing to come by these days. ;) Good luck, bro. :)

Keep in mind there is always something to learn and always something to throw away.  Some people just don't enjoy your genre, others have noticed something you may be able to add (or add onto existing).  The point is don't change it too much but others can add an insight you as a writer didn't notice for many reasons.  Don't be too hard on yourself...""You can please all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot please all the people all the time." -Lincoln

Neal - Listen to the little voice inside of you. The one that speaks quietly when things are loud - the one that whispers in the back of your mind.  Trust your gut instinct - if something feels wrong - don't do it. If you get the impression it will hurt another person - walk away.

If you make a mistake - apologize - and if you do something wrong - own up to it.

Don't let others make you who you are... believe that you are the best person you can be - and be that person. YOU make the choices - others do not choose for you.

Wise words Stacy.
