Elaine, were you talking about me? lol I have that problem too though right now I've been on my WIP as it's almost finished *yay* I'm sure next month will see me back to my old habits again ;0)

Amy, I'm about 1/2 way through the first draft of this one but feel it will take another 50 years to finish... hoping it's just one of those games my mind is playing. Probably having so many interruptions on it this past year didn't help. Sigh. Today I went over 20 pages (not bad, huh?) and shocked myself when a new scene darted through my mind. Maybe there is hope!

There for a while it felt like I was clawing my way through a scene. Now, just as it's feeling the flow again, I discover I've forgotten when certain rituals take place and how I've handled them. (sigh) back to the beginning for a fresh read-through. Needed it though. Already caught lots of small goofs.

I use a (Note Page) Ex: P. 4 so and so met. P. 6 they left in different cars, and so on. However when rewriting the pages change and the note have to also. Elaine, 20 pages WOW! I'm working on my third book, which I should be on my second but I jumped over it for now, anyways I am struggling with the thought of writing it as a short story or a novel. I'm well into it, but it is just the draft. However, I am attempting to edit as I go, which isn't working. But I have to say, it kinda is???Lol...

Yep the plan is to take notes this time around.

Elaine there's always hope, you just have to regain your focus (hard as that may be!)

Anna I know what you mean, have done that many times. Now I have files created with all the important info I've put into the story, including all of my characters (anytime I add anything on a character in my story like a height or favorite thing to do, etc it goes into this file), key shops or businesses in the story, street names (I don't want to say in one book she lives on Maple and the next book she lives on 3rd street, right?) and anything pretty much that's applicable to the story. This way when I get interrupted I don't have to go back and do a complete fresh read every time, I just glance over these files although I try and do a fresh read through every other month just to make sure everything is flowing together nicely.

lol Robert you are gonna drive yourself crazy my friend. And of course I'll be right there with you because I completely understand what you're talking about ;0)

Well guys or should I say, Gals, I now realize why I have been stuck. Last night when I got home from work, I tried to refine the story, but I went nowhere. So I watched a movie. This morning I started to reread in hopes to rewrite and my fingers couldn't type fast enough. What I learned is when I'm stuck, that means I am forgetting something. I had a ball and am well on my way out of this chapter...

Blimey you are a crazy bunch! It's  not just me then! ; )

I am half way through NaNoWriMo and have completed 25,494 words so far, hooray! My story is starting to feel a bit boring though, so I need to write another action scene, with a bit of sex and blood or something *grins wickedly*

I have notes in a display file to remind me of my characters' particulars, settings etc, and just lately I keep getting odd flashes of inspiration for new scenes, so I scribble those down as well for future reference. I also had an idea to put in my next book so it's all good!

Wild and crazy, you bet!!! My second chapter had too much sex or should I say sexy, not sex. I had to build action around it to level it out. It was great fun...
