Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers

Whether I'm writing a short story or reading one, I find enjoyment in them both. Reading books that catch my interest helps me to weed out the good from the not so good. I never judge a book by its cover, but by its first few chapters. You see, I am a critic of sorts, spending time reading books so I can review their material for the general public. But, I do read for enlightenment.

Christopher Paolini's Eragon was, in my opinion, breathtaking. The details of young Eragon's adventures with his newly hatched dragon, Saphira, and his hometown's crazy storyteller, Brom, were enough to keep my attention for the 500+ pages of magnificent book. I praise Paolini for his imagination and spirit of the mythical place of Alagaesia.
