That's a big challenge right there, tackling that list! Whose 100 Best Novels list did you go with, out of interest? I know both TIME and Random House have them amongst others. The Way of All Flesh was published in 1903. No wonder the language is so tortuous. I'm impressed because I wouldn't have stuck with that book.
