I Just thought I'd give you a little information about what inspired me to write The Rileyville Mystery. I was setting one day and thinking about small towns having lived in many over the years. There always seemed to be one house on your block that just seemed a little creepy or strange. Where I live at now there is this old two story house across the street, it was this house I imagined as the old Smith house when I wrote The Rileyville mystery. The rest of the story sprang from it, a quiet small rural town, an old vacant house old and creepy. Then one day strangers move in. They weren't like the other citizens of Rileyville though, no there was something odd about this family, distant, their behaviour strange in nature, not like the other familys in town. The old lady was very rude and bitter, The old man secretive and strange he had an evil look about him. Alot of activity coming from their house, trucks coming and going, all hours of the night. Then bodies begin showing up in town, some local citizens, some not, their deaths suspicious in nature. And from there the story took off. The ideas for the differant characters came from real life people I had met in my life at one time or another, their personalities etc.. and I just changed the names and introduced them into my Mystery, which added a sense of realism to the storyline as their differant personalities meshed together I thought rather nicely, making the story more believable. Or at least I hope the reader thinks so. The characters are colorful, with small town charm. I truly hope you enjoy The Rileyville Mystery and the sequel that will be coming out th. Best wishes Garry E. Lewis
