Jake laid in the wetness of the grass, breathing unbelievebly hard his vision blurry. Kale was dead, Mareen's missing, Laura's dead and Sam just went missing!
Damn, Sam, don't you die too! or that's my ass!
he calmed himself down to a steady breathing pace, his vision started to clear. he sat up and looked around.
ok, where the hell am i?
he was surrounded by thick trees and the biggest, colorful flowers he's ever seen. "Jake?" came a small girl's voice.
he turned and stared into the watery eyes of Mareen, his little cousin. her black hair was a mess, her clothes were ripped up in certain place, but her shirt had it badly, jake could see her left bra cup and she was covered in bloody scraps and scratches.
"Mareen, where the hell have you been?!"
"Jake you really should learn how to not curse in every sentence you make. it's bad for you."
"Don't be stupid, Ree. i don't cuss in every damn sentence."
she gave him a long thoughtfull look and brushed a crawling spider of her shoulder. "Where is Sam? and Laura?"
jake pulled his shirt off and walked to her, ripping the rest of her shirt off and pulling his over her head. he ignored her question, but she continued to ask.
"Where is Sam and Laura?"
"Missing and dead."
that seemed to shut her up quickly.
he grabbed her and pulled her away, trying to remember which way he came in here. then a question came to him and he looked at Mareen.
"Where are you coming from?"
she looked surprised, though she was waiting for him to ask her that, she nearly forgot.
"Uhh, um well, i came from over there." she pointed over her shoulder.
this annoyed jake even more.
"Where exactly is 'over there' Reen?"
sensing his annoyance, she frowned and said, "The other side of the forest."
this made him give her a greatful look. "Good, where going there-"
"No! i'm not going back over there! those things that killed Kale are over there!"
jake grinned nastily, making Mareen regret telling him anything.
"Well, that's definitly where we need to be then, isn't it?"
he tightened his grip on her arm and pulled her against her will toward the spot she had emerged from.
"Jake, think about this will you?!"
"I did, that's why we're going over there." he said matter-of-factly.
"Don't i get a say in this."
he stopped and stared her in the eye. she hated that, his eyes were silver, his pupil was blue and wide! his skin was so f****** pale that when he walk, he looked see through, and when he runs, he disappear and reappear some where else!
she hated him as much as she loved him.
"Because i'm 18, you are 14. i'm the f****** oldest and i give the damn orders, don't like it, well too f****** bad."
and with those words said, he pulled her into the bushes without a glance back.
