I am on the promotion wagon again, and this time you can see my author interview over at You Read It Here First! This is a little different to previous interviews, so check it out and tell me what you think…

This is just a quick blog to say I am still here and haven't abandoned the community! It seems I have had some distractions during the last couple of months, beginning with NaNoWriMo 2012. I am happy to say I succeeded in that challenge and now have a cool new manuscript to edit and get published.
In other news, I am releasing the third Redcliffe novel very soon. It is currently in pre-production and there will be updates to follow. To celebrate this release, I have posted my…Continue

As I write this post I am feeling very happy. After a somewhat stilted and disjointed start to the month I managed to get my ass into gear and am now officially half way through my NaNoWriMo project. Hooray! Who knew I could magically find the time to write 25,011 words in just 14 days, complete with a demanding toddler in tow? Apparently I could, I did, and I am on track to succeed!
The novel is shaping up nicely, although my inner editor is already screaming that it is not good…Continue

It is finally here! After much speculation and lots of updates on the progress of my writing, I can finally announce the release of my second Redcliffe novel, Love Kills (A Redcliffe Novel). In this book we catch up with bookshop owner Jessica Stone as she recovers from a horrific werewolf attack. She now knows the truth about her vampire boyfriend and his identical twin werewolf brother. Her human best friend is still oblivious to the supernatural community in the seaside town of…Continue

With the rise in popularity of eBook publishing, I am starting to notice that some authors don’t pay much attention to the book cover for their novels. Even if you publish an eBook and not a paperback version, I think it is still important to have a professional, attractive front cover as part of your promotional material.
I am still more inclined to look at a book based on the front cover even if I am browsing on my Kindle. There is something intriguing about cover art, when you can…Continue

I am currently writing the third book in my Redcliffe novels paranormal romance series. Love Redeems (A Redcliffe Novel) concludes the story of how our protagonist Jessica Stone met and fell in love with a vampire, and subsequently discovered the truth about her friends and acquaintances in the fictional Cornish seaside town of Redcliffe. I originally only intended to write one book with this story, but it just sort of spiralled and took on a life of its own, so now here I…Continue

It gives me great pleasure to share my very first live internet radio interview. Here I talk about my debut paranormal romance novel Love Hurts (A Redcliffe Novel), the inspiration for my Redcliffe series, and life as a pagan mother. Have a listen, and I appreciate any feedback……Continue
I have to say I apologise for the title of my post, but you must forgive me! Actually, I understand love shouldn't hurt on Valentines Day. In fact it should be a beautiful celebration of our love for each other, whether we are in long-term comfortable relationships, or shorter developing ones. I am simply offering a view of Valentines Day from the perspective of my paranormal romance novel Love Hurts.
Personally I am not celebrating Valentines Day this year. My husband and me…Continue

OK, the title of this post is perhaps a little silly and I am stating the obvious. There cannot be a writer out there who does not love books, but I am open to comments if you can prove me wrong. Anyway, my point is that I love books. I have always loved books. As a child, my mother taught me to read, and would take me to our local library every Saturday morning. I would step into that small one storey building full of excitement and happiness, and spend a few hours searching the shelves in…Continue

About a week ago I woke up one morning feeling a mild sense of panic when I realised that once I finish editing Love Kills and send it off to the publisher, I will then need to start writing the third Redcliffe book. At the time it was only a vague idea in my head, sort of following on from the latest instalment that I just wrote. Determined not to be perturbed, I put the panic out of my mind and sent out a silent plea to my muse.
After lunch I finally dragged myself away…Continue
I have just finished writing an intense cliffhanger of an ending to my second Redcliffe novel Love Kills. It was amazing! Having finished editing a separate manuscript, I was thinking about what needed to be done on my current WIP. I had written the first draft of Love Kills, but was unhappy with the way I had finished it. There had to be more.
Well it seems that my muse agreed, and all day today, while doing my menial household chores, the story has unfolded…Continue

It has been a very merry Christmas in the Green household this year. We celebrated my daughter’s first Christmas, and she was thoroughly spoiled by the whole family. In fact, we had to open her presents in three different houses! I do love having a large and close-knit family. We may not live so close to each other any more, but we certainly make the most of the holidays.
Anyway, my wish was for some money…Continue

Well I did it! I entered NaNoWriMo for the very first time, and I succeeded, and I won. Tonight at midnight I validated my novel with 50,168 words. The best thing is, I haven't even finished yet but I am so close to the end I can taste it, and it is sweet!
It has been a long, hard month. My poor baby daughter has become very well-acquainted with her toys and the popular British children's TV channel…

A fellow author has decided to focus on the theme of compassion in his novels, and also on his blog http://www.tommach.com. This got me thinking, how does Love Hurts deal with this issue? Do my characters feel compassion for each other, do they have strong decisive morals, or are they completely indifferent?
My heroine Jessica Stone believes herself to be an independent and compassionate woman. She does not show…Continue

November is National Novel Writing Month, or NaNoWriMo to everybody involved or aware of it. This is an international competition, which has no prizes and no entry fees. Participants are simply expected to write a novel with a word total of 50,000 during the month. It is a wonderfully simple way of motivating yourself to finally write that story that has been festering in your head for all these months or years.
I have entered this competition. Having published my debut…Continue

I thought that in the spirit of the season, with Halloween just past, and for the UK, bonfire night just ahead, I would post a report from a ghost hunt I did last weekend.
This took place at the beautiful hidden treasure that is Carnfield Hall, in Derbyshire, UK. I had never heard of the place before, but it is a fantastic 16th Century home, hidden away in the Derbyshire countryside.
Here is the link to the full report on my personal blog site:…Continue
