Authors, Writers, Publishers, and Book Readers
Ben Bachick had first seen her at his book signing through the crowd of fans that surrounded him. Even though at first it was, only a single glance that he had given her, but it was all that he needed. For the image of her now stayed trapped within the back of his mind. The way her long amber hair cascades over her shoulders and her face seems tanned and innocent. And the black dress she wore, hugged the curves of her slender body as she stands trying to look seductive for him. At least he…

Most of the characters in my scifi novel are people I grew up with or became friends with in real life. This made describing the characters in the book eaiser. I know how my friends would react in different situations, what they would say or how their body would move during a conversation.
Now my friends might not like the responsiblity I put on them in my award wining scifi novel, traveling to another planet and training to fight the aliens that invaded earth but..., well I'm the…

Jumping in the car (well....van), cranking the music, and going for a long drive, is one of my favorite things to do. With no errands to run or destination in mind, I feel free--happy. My kids quiet, my mind clears, and I can think to the beat of the music while I delight in the view of the valleys, streams and farms. I love to discover new places and the…

Mary Ellen's mind raced. She couldn't make it to the front door, there was no back door, and no windows on the first floor, but for the ceiling of the ballroom. Upstairs, though...
She ran for the western stairs, adrenaline pushing her to go faster as the monster tore through the house looking for her. Up she ran, heels thudding loudly against the wood, John not far behind her. At the landing, she dashed to the first window she saw in the hall. The drop was too far; she might…

Mary Ellen was in love. She gazed up at John in complete adoration as they twirled around the dance floor.
The ceiling, made entirely of glass, framed the stars like diamonds in a pool of ink. Mary Ellen, being one of the few wealthy enough on Earth, owned a home in the new settlement on Mars. Her mansion was on the outskirts of the settlement, almost against the large dome that surrounded all ten miles of the area. It was among the most extravagant of houses, with grand spires…

Hey all!
I've been way too busy and way too cold up here in the VA hills. Free Clinic is now in the tender hands of my agent, soon to be at a bookshelf near you. Bantham and Simon Schuster are looking closely at it as well as its sequel, Immunity Effect. But here's the real deal to all of you: libraries rule the earth as far publicity and notoriety are concerned. I have had my friends nudge their local libraries across the country to purcdhase copies of my book and it is now…

Hey all.
With advent of Free Clinic's publication, to print in the next two weeks, I humbly submit for your perusal the first bits of the second book in the Free Clinic Trilogy: Immunity Effect. This draft so far has been well recieved by my editor and publisher, but still has a way to go. The third book, Kiss The Sky, is in purely outline now, though I have written some parts of it. I hope that those of you who have read the Free Clinic teasers that I have posted have saved them to…

Here is a scenario with many POD publishers.
Your upfront fee to publish could be as low as $14! However, PODs rarely offer the author free copies of their book. Also, your book (as an electronic file) remains with the
publisher. POD means print-on-demand. The publisher gets to keep a file of your
book and prints the books as needed. It is a fast and easy method…
